Well I dont know how many noticed I was selling my beloved basses last week? Well they both sold pretty quick.

On Friday I recieved the bass that will replace them.

Its a Fender Marcus Miller sig Jazz Bass. Now how many of you guitarists know who Marcus Miller is?? ;)

Sweet as to play, super low action and has the best slap sound of any bass I have played.

Well I have to say I didn't have a clue who Marcus Miller was either, but I do now. This guy is the busines. I didn't realise, but I have loads of stuff that this guy appears / plays on. The Brecker Bros, Miles Davis, Jay Beckenstien, George Benson ........terrific. His bio reads like a who's who of the Jazz / Funk / Soul world. I am going to seek out some of his solo stuff and certainly give it a listen.

Thanks Mike, always nice to introduced to some ear-worthy music.

By the way, cool looking bass, maybe you could record some and give us all a listen. Would even be cool to get you involved, on the bass, in some of our jams.

Thanks for all the comments, I've certainly have a go at recording some stuff. And you might find me in the jam room. ;)

Check out The Ozell Tapes, Panther and his new album Silver Rain. All great stuff, Ive also got a slap version of Come Together he did!!!.
