Yes young one when you have had the experience of owning and playing so many guitars you can then have an opinion

I know I've said this before - but why buy a mass manufactured, very well marketed and , yes, pretty decent Ibanez, when for under £600 you could get an awesome, Brit designed and small scale manufactured Maverick guitar! Awesome necks and pickups and cool sesigns and colours - many special editions (i.e. only 4 - 12 produced). Hands down better than an Ibanez in the sub £1000 bracket imho!!

Check them out on my site or www.maverick.com. They ROCK!!

(I'm in no way comapring with Ibanez top end stuff, as Maverick don't do that market yet..)

guitarzone I do not buy the well known guitars, because I think you pay out a lot for the name so guitar for 200 quid plus name 100 quid or more, I have bought 3 guitars from an oem builder from korea called WOLF I would bet my house on it that you could not find these guitars anywhere in this country even ebay but I agree with you mass manufactured can = shite sometimes my pack of wolfs cost me the same as my Gibson but if I am honest the wolfs are better sounding and better built and that is sad.

But saying that I love guitars that are built in japan the ones I have including the Ibanez are all good and all well built, you know you are getting quality from them because they care.

hehe Rob who forced you? I'll get some more photos of my dismal Ibanez collection (feel inferior with just two cf. Flexs) today I'll get some better angles than the photos I posted before. I have said it before but Flex that is an awesome collection you have.

Rob did you try the glue or varnish on the trem arm? i used nail varnish first time around as per Ibanez Rules and jemsite setup but it wore off quite quick but since used superglue (Very thin layer!!!) not had to make any further adjustment!

Tightend the nut Stew where you push arm in did the trick.

ROb do you know how to loosen a volume knob. The one on my Ibanez PGM is very tight to turn so to roll of the volume is not a smooth action?

Rob

Stew as far as I can see on the knobs on this ibanez they have a little screw on the side of them I would have thought thats how you loosen them on all the other guitars I have they just pull off and push on and their is no way of loosening them.

I take your point, seems that others wanted to turn this into a discussion about the merits of other guitars.

I too love the Jap guitars - Tokai jap stuff is brilliant. Seen the pics of your Wolfs - look cool. Great to get a great guitar without paying through the headstock!

My only point was that Maverick off a real alternative to the sub £1000 Ibanez ... :)

This may not be quite what you meant but....... it is an Ibanez and, at £100, quite a bargain!
