what a twoTT, how is it that he can play like that and I can't? It's just not fair Rick! He's got long skinny fingers! Admittedly though it sounded a little muddy in spots LOL
poor guy can't play anymore, he got some awful disease or other!

Yea I remember someone telling me about it, that is so sad, I heard he was still writing music too.
This story is very very sad.. I spent several hours on his site last night reading the story...I was emotionally drained afterwards and played no guitar whatsoever all night. It lets you see just how lucky most of us are and most of our problems we think we have are really trivial and there are usually solutions if you look for them.
Live for today. You just don't now what card you will be dealt next!

Totally and utterley agree Stew. I had a week in intensive care after a car smash in 1992 which very nearly took my life. Since then my life has changed and I try to fit as much into my life as possible(within reason!). I'm on overtime and intend to make the most of it! Yep, our "problems" are often extremely trivial and a lot of them would go if we just swallowed our pride at times.
Whats round the corner?? Who knows so, make it count, this is not a "dress rehearsal" and it all goes far far too fast, let alone having this little time here shortened by tragic circumstances or diseases.

I think we all live on the surface of life and take things for granted don't we? But when things like this happen or like what Farley said, we go into the deeper side of life and come to appreciate things al ot more things we may have not seen when everything was going so well!!
How lucky we are to be alive and healthy!!

The Jason Becker story is mind blowing, and also the most incredibly cruel twist of fate. I didn't realise that was what had happened to the guy. I remember that a lot of people were raving about him in the 80's, then suddenly he just dissapeared. What a mad world.

I have to say that he is pretty fast, but no melody.
