Hi there !

Just giving all you reso fans out there a chance before I put it on eBay.

I just recently got a nice vintage style "O" so have been thinking about selling my National Resophonic Style "O". It is actually the Deluxe version. That is all the regular style "O" appointments (nickel plated brass body with etched Hawaiian scene) PLUS :
Wiggle Border engraved on to the front, back, sides AND around the coverplate too !!
Diamond mother-of-pearl position markers (including triangle at the nut).
It also has a gorgeous flame/striped maple neck and Iveroid headstock veneer. Very classy.

Email me if interested at - odonnell@uk2.net

It was made in November 2004 so is thus just 15 months old. You will pay around £ 2095 at a very reputable, well known reso shop in the UK for a brand new one. My one is in near mint condition.
£ 1650 plus shipping seem a fair price.
I'm in the UK - so to get the most of this bargain, you might be best being from the UK. Picking up in person is also do-able.

Here are pictures of it :

As you will see, I have added a pickup to it. It is removeable though. It is actually a very good pickup. Made exclusively for the brilliant luthier Dave King, these pickups are humbucker in design - so are noiseless when not playing, sitting close or on another amplifier (if you ever been close to an amp with a guityar with single coil pickups, you will know what I mean !!).
The pickup has VERY good string balance with phosphor-bronze strings (unlike many magnet pickups designed for acoustic guitars). It works great through a PA or acoustic guitar amp, but is tres cool through a valve amp too !!
Plastic jack socket (but metal internally) to protect the guitar finish from scratches, in the treble-side F-hole.

Anyone interested, let me know.

Hi there !

I like your avatar of the Forth Rail Bridge.

Reminds me of a pic of me my fiance took a few years ago :

Hi again !

Nah ! Its not a pain to part with some of them if I've still got some nice ones left. There are a few I just couldn't see me selling.

I've just got a vintage 1930 Style "O" - I'm a sucker for the old ones - so don't feel I need both. The old ones have thinner metal thus are not as heavy but dent easier. The body depth is a little less on the vintage one.
Intonation etc is not as good on the vintage one compared to the new one (for sale). Also, I need to get the neck attachment sortyed on the old one - need to send it down to London, to an expert at resonators I know - he has worked on 3 others of mine (even making a new neck for one of them - the baritone necked one).

Still love the old vintage ones a bit better myself. Plenty others will appreciate the no-nonsense/hassle of the new ones - they are built better than the originals.

I think that picture (Forth Rail Bridge) was taken March 2004.
