Since there have definately been a lack of votes being cast in battles and what have you maybe an idea would be to have a substancial point gain for the voter for each vote cast. Just an idea and it may even get people voting.

i think we need some sort of PM sent out when there's a battle so that everyone knows about it. I check new posts, but if it doesnt catch my eye, i dont normally click on it. So if messages were sent out for battles or other matters needing attention, i'd be all over it.

Yes I think all posts requiring a vote should show up as soon as you log on, then theres no excuse to overlook it.

I just take the time to read all the posts, it doesn't take that long really, so there is no excuse for not reading or indeed voting. This site works best when people take the time to read the posts and reply or respond to them. When people have taken the time to post something it is only right that we show them we appreciate it by responding to them and give them our support, critique and advice where needed.

Well said Zap it sometimes takes a while to get through all the posts but thats the fun at this forum you don't want to miss out on someones post that might have relative information you might be looking for and then wonder later why you didn't here about something. But I do think that some of us have more time to spend than others...I got loads of time and plenty of beer..

Hey Zap, I don't doubt your enthusiasm and personally I read as much as I can, I download fellow posters recordings and I vote in polls, not to mention that I really enjoy reading what 6string members have to say and contribute, my point is that in any given poll we are lucky to see 10 votes, and I mean lucky. There are over 700 members here so maybe it isn't such a bad idea trying to find a way to get people involved because 10 out of 700 is pretty damned pathetic mate.

yea, but you also have to stop to think...there may be over 700 members...but how many are active...if you go through and take out the number of people that havent logged in for 2 months or so...that number would DRASTICALLY decrease...
