Filmed 3 years ago but only just released by the Church Of England! Heap many mistakes but good for a laugh. All done in one take becuase you CAN'T drop-in ANYWHERE on this song! :)
Sorry about the quality...it was a collosal 1GB when I started!!! But needed to be less than 4mb-ish for here.

Very kind! But to be honest, it's a bit all over the place. This was before I ever had a POD and hadn't really looked into Ed's tone except to buy a 5150 stack and a shitload of trib guitars! I feel much more confident now on how to get the tone and, more importantly, play his style...tho I'm STILL a million miles away! Some people are never happy!
This was a good laugh tho and the guys are still going with one of my mate's who I helped get the gig. I got totally pissed off with the tribute scene. But I will have more footage of both the band on stage AND the Alice Cooper trib I was in soon. It's all good for a laugh!

Thanks mate...dead right as well re rough edges. I'm not one for doing one take...I like 200! Joking aside tho, left to my own devices, when I'm writing I have the record button on and it can take me an hour to get one 7 second pass down. But that's the way I work. This was a bit of fun and glad I finally got it onto media from VHS!
Thanks Zombo and Big Doug for the listen (and watch!)

Very cool dude, it's great to be able to look back and see how far you've come eh man, you were a class player even back then bro! Thanks for sharing Chris.
made it look easy, was that a usa evh guitar?
Chris, thanks for sharing.
This is one of the most difficult tracks on their first album.
I bow deep. Not perfect, but you're a A-CLASS player!

Thanks for the comments...that was the Korean Wolfie that I sold to tony4552 who has or is now selling...great guitar but when I got my US Goldtop, I decided there wasn't room for two so swopped with tony for a Jackson DK2S which I recorded one song with and then sold!
As for this one being close...nowhere NEAR! It's ironic but I did most of my EVH homework AFTER I left the tribute band! Prolly becuase there was so much going on with the day job and playing gigs that I never got time to sit back and really analyse it until I was no longer in a day job or a VH tribute! Wierd world eh???

Well it impressed the hell out of me!

Very good stuff!
I know what you mean about doing 200 takes, everything I record has 'punch-ins' all over it! It's funny but as soon as the record button is pressed my fingers turn to jelly. Video makes it even worse but you pulled it off, top class stuff from a top class guitarist, well done.
