granted...sadly, you exceed all expectations, set a record for high marks, and go on to be world-renowned nuclear physicist, with no spare time at all to do what you really want to do--play guitar.

I wish I had the cash to finish refinishing my Les Paul.

You get enough cash to finish your Les Paul...in fact it looks not bad with them glued to your guitar the style catches on...but you leave it next to the BBQ and it catches fire....shucks.

I wish I could compose my own style of solo guitar work that is masss produce and I tour the world.

Granted: you successfully develop your own style of solo playing and it sweeps through the guitar world like wild-fire, you then embark on a world tour. During the world tour a lighting rig falls on your head and you suffer long term amnesia rendering you unable to find your way back home.
