but this backing is quite nice.

ZappaFan
05-06-2006, 06:28 PM
Hey guys just had a listen to this, sounding great as usual chaps. This backer is a toughie to get going with, it was originally part of a Guthrie Govan tutorial on the use of chromatic licks, which i couldn't fiollow at all. You 6SH jammers are doing a fine job though.

Steve Zane

Visco, you should ask PeterMoran first.

Viscolex
05-06-2006, 07:12 PM
um, ill just swap with stew, cause he wanted to be near the end....

ini
05-06-2006, 07:16 PM
Visco, you should ask PeterMoran first.

Well I was the last one and after me comes stew and after stew petermoran,
so I think he should have no problem with Visco swapping in for stew.

And thanks to teh Zap-man.

Viscolex
05-06-2006, 07:22 PM

Stew
06-06-2006, 09:59 AM
Guys this is sounding very good indeed I am mighty impressed especially with Ini as we all probably are.

I am going to pass on the jam and Zap has kindly agreed to step in. I am really busy at home getting things prepared for the baby arrival on 3rd July and can't say how much time I can devote to doing any jams...I need to give some time to my bride too. I will, however, try and do the odd cover in my free time as there is no time pressure compared to a jam. Hope you all understand and hope all your jams in the next month or two evolve as good as this one is....it is a pleasure knowing all you guys as you are all so down to earth and I will be on most nights checking posts and catching the banter in the jamroom.

Cheers

Stew

Steve Zane
06-06-2006, 02:41 PM
Guys , I think we should take out the previous versions of our bt and only keep the last one. So that Rick can keep the place runing with space on it.
We only need the last one anyways.

petermoran555
06-06-2006, 03:04 PM
My part added.

didnt realise i was so close to the end, there is not a full slot left after me.

someone still to go?

ini
06-06-2006, 03:35 PM
there should be only one left and that would be ZappaFan (instead of stew).

Beautiful playing there petermoran555. I just love your playing mate. Superb style, fluency, and use of tone. Which I can only describe as pure "class" mate. Awesome !!!!

How the hell do i follow that ?????? :wall: and all in 15 seconds of available backing, i better make this good.

ZappaFan

Well I have to say I found this really tough, following Petermoran for one, and finding something to fit in 15 seconds of backing rack. But here it is. Not too pleased but let me know. If you dont like it, i'll come up with something else. I dont want to spoil this otherwise excellent jam.

Just listened to this one in its entirety, and I must admit, I was blown away!!! Everybody played their butts off here, and it was great to hear such a diverse palatte of tones and techniques...

1-Rlee: Amazing opening, brilliant wah and whammy flutters, superb!!
2-ini: probabaly the best stuff I've heard from you yet mate, awesome snakey riffs here!!
3-Viscolex: nice crisp and clear tone and a very soulful approach, well done!!
4-Zane: fantastic stuff Steve, very reminiscent of great old 70's funk rock!!
5-Petermoran: excellent shreddage, sweet spacey tone too!!
6-ZappaFan: not much time left to work your magic, but you brought it home with style and class!!

I remember from when we did Hawk's Funkmesiter jam comp that this was NOT an easy backer to play along to, and you guys all did a brilliant job. Good one!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Freaking brilliant stuff from everyone on this... probably the most coherent jam I've heard yet. No-one sounded out of place and the standard of playing was exemplary.
