Ok guys here is one of my little idea. 8-)

I've made a minute long bt so you can make a solo.
The idea is that anyone can make a solo and I will have a poll on which one did the best solo. It's all in good fun.

The solo is not judged only on how fast you are but on the feel too.
I think this can be fun. Just download the bt and make a solo post it back here and, after I'll post it in the war zone for the polls.

The first two patterns are in E and the two last patterns are in G

Practice makes perfect ini, no time like the present to put that old saying into action.

ini
18-07-2006, 03:01 PM
That is certainly right Six, but at the moment I'm not good enough to make an interesting solo into this track.. and nobody wants to listen to some shapeless and boring noodling.

So I'll spare you guys for now with my playing in this track, lol

ini, when I started in my first band I was less good than the other guys in the band but the pressure made me better. This kind of things can improve you big time. You did a great solo in one jam..do you remember? I think poeple will only encourage you to be better. We all started somewhere.

ini
18-07-2006, 03:13 PM
yes mate, I understand that, but the solo you mean (Zombo Challenge I think) was only a few seconds in length.. The thing is I'm not very content with my jamming at the moment, all sounding too boring and linear to me.
Even the "great solo" how you call it was a simple one-string pull off run..

But this is getting off-topic, let's stick with the actual subject of this thread.

ini
18-07-2006, 05:17 PM
And the actual subject was to make a solo to this track, huh?

Here is mine, but I warned you, lol

Six
18-07-2006, 05:43 PM
ini you were right... perhaps you should have stayed out of this one :poke:

Just kidding dude    I think that was actually very good and I honestly wish I could have played like that after my first five years on the guitar, and before you say it... no I'm not just trying to be nice! I'm serious!

Excellent job and definately rep point worthy.

ini
18-07-2006, 05:50 PM
Thanks mate.. I sometimes forget I just play one year..

No need to rush, huh?
cheers dude.

Its better ini than what I would have come up with back when I first started playing I think you are jumping ahead at a massive rate and persistance will make you a killer player in a short time....plus your still tweaking that 2101 so I know its not an easy thing when searching for tone....all in all a very good job dude...I don't even have a clue yet what I'm gonna do on this one

Here's a quick jam over the track. Fun to play over!

And Doug, I do believe that effect that Zombo was employing was a Digitech Whammy Pedal. Joe uses one quite a bit as well. They are fun to play with to say the least.

Jeez, Just seen this! Another fantastic BT Zane!! I'll have a bash at this soon but way too busy with work at the moment (I work in refrigeration.... we have just had the hottest July day on record... busy busy busy!) So, I'll give it my predictably slow, (I only know one lead break) shot at it in a couple of days!! LOL

Brilliant so far though tapping gone mad from Ini!! How the hell do you do it! Huh!! Great from all, Love it!

Just remember that it's all in good fun and not a ego thing. :-)

petermoran555
26-07-2006, 01:27 PM
cheers guys,

yeh i had to use my pc microphone and balance out the volume of the BT and the volume of amp, therefore not good sound because my pc speakers are right next to my mic so i have to have the BT quite low and the guitar amp fairly high lol. quite hard to hear where the BT is up to sometimes.

i will have my direct recording cable back soon, lent to a mate. nuisance that he is lol.
