Here's mine....done with a guy from Norway called Roy Bratbakken on vox. This is easily my fave Lizzy song. I did the Brian Robertson/Scott Gorham version from 'Live And Dangerous...I'm a massive Gary Moore fan but I think this was the definitive version (I saw 'em do it at Newcastle City Hall and said that one day I'd do a version...I was 14, so it's took me 30 years!)

I've had to reduce the quality down as it was over 7mb in size. :thumb:

That's very kind mate but I ain't won a thing guitar wise for over a year now! Waiting on a mate who is doing a VERY nice backer for 'Roisin Dubh' which I've been wanting to cover for about 20 years but the BT's out there are pretty poor. If it's a good un I'll make it available to all.

here's my entry, I was surprised to see this one already posted...I considered scrapping it and trying something else, but I've always wanted to cover either this one or Black Rose, and I couldn't do Black Rose justice ...besides, I invested a lot of time and beer in this one dammit! LOL :-)

I programmed the drums once again using Drumkit From Hell Superior, and did all guitars, bass and crappy beer-inspired vocals myself. I know the arrangement's a bit different from the original, I did it from memory, using the version from an import Thin Lizzy Greatest Hits CD I have, and tried to remember it as best I could.

on a side note...tickets just went on sale here for the Lizzy show at the House Of Blues in Hollywood...I am SO there!!!!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

EDIT: remix posted

Thanks mate...could have been either; we regularly played at the Town Hall Crypt and there was also a memorable gig at the Hartlepool Town Hall where we:

1. Blew the managers balls off with a pyro that was under the mic stand when he came on to introduce us

2. The singer put his foot on the monitor and fell off the front of the stage

3. The drummer fell off his stool and pulled the backdrop down

4. I fell over me cable!

This all happened on the first number!!!!!

I think I saw that one :D Can't have been as bad as when I saw White Spirit at the town hall and Mr Gerrs failed miserably in an attempt to smash his guitar...

In another partially related tale, I went to school with Ian Iredale and he taught me how to play Stairway to Heaven. Never forgiven him for that ;)

It was them that did "One Note Song" wasn't it ?

Anyway I can play a whole Thin Lizzy song with one chord if I use an alternate tuning ?

Come on guys, there must be a way !!!

Bloody hell! I used to work with his brother, Kevin (ICI). Ian just dissapeared off the map one day...they still have a beer waiting for him at the Hardwick Social!! (BTW, for those who wonder what the **** we're on about, Ian replaced me then went walk about and I replaced him, in effect, replacing myself!)

So here is my rendition of the classic Still in love with you I recorded this a while ago but I decided to re-record it as I wanted to use my new gear on it!
I sung and played the solos on a one take method as I wanted it with a live feel as this is the live version!
I do hope you like it this must be my favourite song to play and sing to so please enjoy it !
