Hi All,
Up for sale is my Eros 335 copy guitar. I bought it when I started at Uni in the late 70's.
First of all the bad bits:
There is a ding in the back of the neck just below the headstock where it fell over onto a desk.
The pickup switch knob is missing.
One of the pot knobs fell off and I substituted a black one
I upgraded the tuners to Schallers, but when I drilled out the post hole for the bottom E string, some of the lacquer chipped away.
Now the rest:
All original apart from Schaller tuners
Never gigged, home use only (I gig with a Les Paul now)
Neck is straight and true.
Only ever strung with Ernie Ball Super Slinky (.009)
Great Sound both acoustically and via the pickups.
Sharp, cutting sound from the neck pickup, smooth sound from the bridge pickup.
Controllable feedback (if thats your bag)
Fretwear is as expected from ain instrument of its age.
I have no idea what its worth. From my research it seems as though these guitars were imported from Italy by Rosetti in the 70s and that Eros used to make guitars for Eko.
Does £150 posted to UK mainland sound reasonable ? Too much ? Too little ?? !!!
Thanks for looking, PM or let me know if interested.
Cheers, John
