Thanks a lot for the kind words guys, everyone made this a killer jam for sure so far!

Zane: you'd never have to pay that amount man....I don't think even Vai is worth $300 an hour, so for sure lil Danny D wouldn't charge ya that price. :) I'd be happy with just getting together with you once a week and noodling a bit if I lived near ya....free of charge of course....unless you wanna bring beer? ;)

Zap: if we could pull that one off there'd be no reason for me to play music for a living....a dude having a child would sure bring in a few bucks! LOL!! Thanks bro!

Guitarpima: thanks, your section was pretty "slammin" also...well done!

Tang: you're an effin maniac and you never cease to amaze me dude! Nice little tension points ya threw in on yours...mmmmmm! ;)

And Mr. Zombo, I really enjoyed your part in this! Very well played man!!

Well I just spent all evening trying to come up with something worthy and failed dismally.:wall: I don't know what it is about this track but I just can't seem to keep time to it, so if you want to bung me on the end and let the others go first it might give me time to get my head round it.:sap:

Stempy
08-08-2006, 05:59 PM
Ok I'm posting this piece of unimaginative, badly played poo so you can decide whether you want to go play after it or not. At least I can say that I played next to Danny Danzi for the time being at least. Dunno why I just can't get into the rhytmn of this track. Perhaps I'm not funky enough. Take the slot after Danny if you wish, I won't be offended, more relieved.

stevedak
08-08-2006, 07:36 PM
sounds perfectly fine and funky to me Stemp, level was a bit low but otherwise it rocked...If you want, I can go either after you or do it after Danny's part and give you more time to work something else out, either way, your choice!!

Stempy
08-08-2006, 08:35 PM
Ok, go after Danny and I'll try to improve it, bring up the level and slot in on the end.

Guys this is sounding superb...I last heard this the day John posted it and thought wow great backer i am tempted to put down for that one...glad i am busy with the baby just now icould not perform to the high leels you guys have. Stempy your playing sounded fab...get recording it again with some more volume and it will be killer give that Danny boy a run for his money LOL.

Proud to know you guys and learning all the time from you. looking forward to hearing the rest play on this. Danny i can't amnage to come for weekly lessons because my car does not skim well on the Atlantic waves but need to hook up in jamroom :help:

Guitarpima
08-08-2006, 09:52 PM
Other than the level being low, it sounds fine to me stempy. Your first riff is a great segway to what you do. Let's see what you do next. Good job!

stevedak
09-08-2006, 04:47 AM
here's my bit, I went ahead and put it after Danny's spot, but if you want Stemp I can remix it after your original one...I decided to lay back a bit and let the track breathe a little...there's some incredibly tasty shreddage going on here by all involved so far, I hope this measures up! :thumb:

Stempy
09-08-2006, 06:28 AM
Now that's more like it! That was great. Maybe with a few more years of practice and I'll be able to sound that good. For now I'm happy just to tack my bit on the end and fade into oblivion....................

zombo
09-08-2006, 02:26 PM
Ok, go after Danny and I'll try to improve it, bring up the level and slot in on the end.

So be it !!!

By the way Stempy it sounded fine the level was just low and Zombo is telling you off for pulling yourself to bits !!!
You are one of the greatest improvers on this forum and you are worthy enough to be in this jam man !

Stempy
09-08-2006, 09:02 PM
Well thank you Mr Zombo. Unfortunately, on this occasion, I find myself frustrated at being unable to transfer what is in my head to the fretboard. I'll consider myself suitably chastised and put in more practice as pennance.

Well I hope I'm not upsetting the apple cart here but here's another effort, slightly higher level than the last and with a different arrangement. Still seems I cant quite get the hang of the timing but I'm at least a little happier with it. I think it was supposed to be Zuess next so I'll redo it on the end if I've butted in.

Awww Shucks, you guys....

How many of you jammers use a Digitech?

Guitarpima
11-08-2006, 02:15 AM
I agree everyone else Stempy. That was smooth and tasty. Good tone as well. I used a Genesis 3 for a while but I sold it to a buddy and got a PodXT. I sometimes wish I had kept it because it did things the pod does not but that's the way the guitar world works. At least I am not a TEO, (temporary equipmnet owner). You know the guys who save and buy something and a month later they pawn it.

stevedak
11-08-2006, 02:54 AM
I just recently acquired a 2101, but I can't really say I've used it all that much yet...I need to do some serious tweaking with it to get the tones I like. Meanwhile, I'm sticking with the POD XT Pro or straight into the TonePort using Gearbox for the guitar tones.

Alrighty then folks another chapter finished on in my opinion the best jam I have ever heard from you guys its just awesome how much fun this one was to watch evolve....I decided to pull my slide out on this last one I maybe should have retuned to an open G or even C but its a lot of damm work retuning that locking tremolo......I know I'm lazy but I gotta go to work soon....Thanks for all the work you guys put into this one:thumb:
