another tough one, but I voted for Steve (Zane)...brilliant composition and phrasing, practically symphonic, the best I've heard from you yet!!!!

After a long listen to all it became a struggle with all of them so I broke it down to went beyond their normal zone of playing and I'm giving my vote to SixWheels and the dive bomb at the end was a great touch.....you guys make it hard too much good talent here!

Yep ! that is a hard one indeed...?

There is 2 that made my hair stand up. SteveDak and Zeusse.

My vote goes to SteveDak
I think his tone , feel ,was amazing. I also like the fact that he didn't shred but took it easy and let his soul speak. I find Steve one very versatile guitar player.I wish I could do it like you :-)

Zombo-Great jod once again, like those crazy scales of yours!

Zeusse- That was very beautiful.I like all construction you did..those little stacato picking fitted there right on! The tone was excellent and smooth. I'm still listening to it..adictive lick. The melodie was perfect...simple but with soul and sounded very pro.(simple is better) I also like the power chords you did.

Gil2010-Like I said in the other forum, love the start you did. That was great emotions. And you can sure do some fast licks! :-)

Sixwheels- You realy impressed me here bro.You sounded totaly diferent from all other times I heard from you in the past. You took your time went slow but with soul and like the end ... that was cool.(when I say slow I don't mean it in a bad way but in a good way..simple is sometimes better)

Myuzishin- I liked it very mush. You made it a bit Metal style and that was cool and diferent. Nice diferent tone too.Great job.

Guitarprima-You are new here (?) and I like the way you play. That was great too.Nice tone , great technics.

Personally I think you all did a great job on all tracks. No one sucked :-)

It was fun and keep looking out for the September competition.

Myuzishin gets my vote because...

1) It didn't sound like an 'ability showcase', let's face it - we're all guilty of trying to shred out our fastest licks on these challenges!
2) The phrasing was really tasteful and gave a completely different feel to it.
3) It came across as 'dark & moody' which totally set it apart from all the others.

I really wanted to give everyone a vote... this was a cool challenge this month, and one that I thoroughly enjoying listening to and participating in... I even enjoyed listening to my own after I'd had time to forget what it sounded like ;-)

Well done and good luck to everyone that took part :thumb:

Wow what a cool bunch of tracks! Highlights are, Zombo, his bar and wah are very distinctive. Zane, had me thinkin' Floyd, and then pulled a cool switch, with the layers in the middle. Zeusse, for the OUTSTANDING negotiation over the chromaticchanges. Gil, had some smokin' quick lines in there. Steve, that was smooth, and flowing, with a great tone. SixWheels, very soulful playing, with some great feel. Myu, great variation on this with that b5, and very sinister feel. Guitarprima, nice take on this track as well, you had some very bluesy phrasing at times.

Congrats to all!!!!
