Here it is...the september solo competition.
This is the jam room song that I made for 6SH. It's near 2 minutes long so a bit more of a chalange. Have fun!
For new members: Download the bt , make a solo on it, Post it back here and get ready for the polls ::-) Remember it's all in good fun.

Bravo Steve a nice mix of styles and tones...sounds like you are shredding hope I'm not a bad influence..lol Normally I never critique your mixing but the soft tone in the middle the level seemed a bit loud on my left side...other than that another brilliant job...I should have mine up tomorrow even thou I haven't come up with anything yet...remember no beer makes Eric a dull boy..LOL
Another piece of 6string excellence from you Steve.
A nice selection of styles and tones as Eric said and I particularly enjoyed the last section, great tone and technique on that bit... sounds like you're becoming a full-shred-metal-head :-)

OK, Finally!
Did it in sections, just easier that way even tho I'm not a big fan of punch ins. Compositionally I dig it, but as always my melodic skills outshine my tech :-P Each section is doubled for pannage purposes. The 'hook' at the beginning and end was literally the first thing that came to mind when I started jammin, so I went with it. Hardest part to write (and last done) was the intro. As always, pardon my tone.
This is a great backing, Zane! I had a real blast doin this, man, hope everybody likes it :-D
Good stuff by flashriffs and zane! Glad to finally listen to them, nice job fellers!

Smokin good job Kyle the beginning of this backer is tough to get a riff on thats where I'm struggling too..Steve likes to see us sweat or break stuff at least you found a riff and the ending was really cool..if I can find the opening riff I'll be finished the rest is done...damm you Steve with that E stuff its my worst key..lol

Ok Zane I'll have something by Monday at the latest. Probably tommorow night thoubgh. I'll give everyone else's a listen after I finish mine.
Why complain about playing in any key? Although, I will admit I play better in some keys verse's others but can play in any key.

I can't believe I am asking this but my brain is on meltdown. What are the chords in the slow section? For some reason I just can't figure them out. Got good ideas for the rest of it. BTW very Van Halenesque.

It doesn't matter if you are not a lead player...but what is important is that you have fun doing it :-)
Thanks for participating ! did you change my bas line
The bass is a bit to loud and killing your guitar lead..If it is not too much trouble for you , you should lower the bass a bit so we can hear your guitar a bit more..cheers

I did change the bass line. I don't know why I did it, I just did. I need better pickups on my P-Bass though. Anyway I dropped the bass -3db.

I finally got a chance to listen to the other entries.
Flashriff those were some really good riffs. You are a good player. I thought the guitar sounded great but it was too loud and I could not hear the backing track to well. Great job.
Zane that was some nice contrasting for each sections. It built really nice for the closing section. Truely great work.
Myuzishin I like your use of motives. It was nice that your solo built upon itself and went further than the original. If I knew how to give you a rep point, I would. Great job!
