Off to see Porcupine Tree tomorrow night at the Junction Cambridge.

They are described as progressive but their music is a diverse mix going from death metal to ambient and taking many detours in-between.

If they are anythink like as good as the DVD I have seen I think it will be a great Gig

Would love to but they are very touchy as they are doing stuff never recorded and has said they will not let any recording or cameras in for this gig

They are usually quite up for people recording gigs apparently but since this is new material they want to make sure it first surfaces on record at a standard they would want

I think that is understandable.

Wish I was going! I love this band. I've got 9 of their albums but 'Deadwing' is amazing...won Album Of The Year in the Classic Rock poll...well deserved too. If you get the chance check out a track called 'Arriving Somewhere But Not Here' which is about people who die in accidents...not a cheery subject but bloody beautiful...

Enjoy mate...I'll be wishing I was there. :thumb:

I have the Deadwing album, a couple of others and a live performance on video.

I agree they look very good and love the variety they have

They couldn't be bothered to let us know they just figure hockey season hadn't started so we would all be there..LOL

Excellent Gig - The first half was all new material never before played live, the second half was their older material and it was awesome
Only bad part of the night was the missus and me having a barny.

In the doghouse but used to it by now......
