Okay Farl requested a Blues Jam for the boys who are battling their way up the learning curve, no disrespect intended as we all started out there, and know how tough it can be. So here it is, get-a-jammin' and see what you can come up with.

As we know Blues is all about feel and dynamics so get you head into gear and I am sure this will come out a cracker. Please dont rush your parts, think about them, practice them, and then record them when you are happy. Above all take your time, I dont want to see this one finshed in 24 hours, I would sooner it came out sounding better and took 3 weeks.

Get your names down ASAP.

Hey Chris, you can take my slot if you want and of course if it is OK with Mr Zappa, I never really intended to do this one but remember, this jam is intended for those "battling their way up the learning curve" as Zappa put it so, are you sure you qualify??

Good point there Farley ......

I included you in this Farley as it was your suggestion and I thought it about time we heard some of your blues licks again. We dont hear your playing anywhere near as often as we should ..... so unless you really dont want to it would good to hear you give it a shot.

Hey Zappa. cool track! If you like, I could put a walking bass line on this for you and you could remix it. I would put your track on the left and the bass on the right and then post it back for you to remix. I could have it by tuesday at the latest. If not, that's cool.

This isnt a track I did myself, just a finder from the internet, so I wouldn't be able to remvoe the original bass line, so I guees it'll have to stay as it is, thanks for the offer though, I'll bear it in mind in future though.

Thanks.

Cheers BW, I'm great at doing other peoples stuff - I'm stuck in the covers band thing ;) but don't really have much confidence when it comes to going my own thang! Anyway here you go, this is much more my kind of jamming than the pointy headstock widdling :D Apologies for the odd 'jazz' note!

Hope its not too noisy, got a bit of hum in there as I'm using my favourite strat through my MOFO pedalboard with a Cusack Screamer and my new Line6 DL4 (just picked it up today so I had to use it :D )

All sounding pretty bloomin' good at the moment :) I'm always amazed at the diversity of licks/styles that a 12 bar brings out in people. Sometimes I would like to be able to shred, but I listen to the blues and all thoughts of spending hours and hours with a metronome go out the window
