Ah for me, this very cool dude named Rick spoke to me on g101 one time. Told me he'd be putting together his own site. I came here, he did an interview with me, and I've been here ever since. This is definitely one of the best places on the net for me and one of the few places I feel comfortable enough to play on because of how great everyone is on here. Thanks for giving us this place Rick, I'd be lost without it!! :)

Well, I answered some bizarre thread that was (I think?) on Lick Library asking for participents in a world record attempt for the most guitarits playing the same tune at the same time!! How gullable was I!! LOL Still, it got me here!
Farl
hmm i wonder if that ever came off
I was searching the net for a new flexable grout man! "Guitar" and "Grout" were both in the search and it came up with this bizarre place where people actually plug their "axes" into an electrical supply!! Far out idea guys!

Dude
How did you get on with the search for flexable grout man? You would be surprised what people plug into electricity these days...machine that make bread hot and crunchy, box that have moving pictures and even glass balls that at a press of a button emit light so you can see your way to the toliet in the dark...what will they think of next i wonder

The search was bad man so I decided to use flour mixed with copydex! It is flexi man but it never really dries properly unless I leave in some good strong sunlight for a few hours! then it gets a nice little crust on the top but the neck warps badly! Any ideas man?? I sleep in public toilets a lot so I generally dont have to worry about electrical lights man!

I can't believe I haven't posted here yet. I was called over by Farley. We were sharing moderator duties over at Lick Libraryfor quite a while. As usual with me I hadn't visited the site for a little while and when I returned there was a 2 or 3 month old message from Farley in my inbox waiting for me. The world hasn't been the same since.

Oh stingy me opted for an oil and filter change only - by the way is it serious if there's a clanging noise from the front of the car and the steering goes all loose?

the clanging noise is just precussion, grab a guitar and jam along

There is a bearing that the driveshafts connect to in the transmission. It is probably bad and/or the driveshaft CV joints. Assuming it's front wheel drive. If not, tie rods and/or other front end parts.

When I was in college I had a room mate who only drove Fiestas. His dad fixed them up, made them drive able, and my room mate would drive them till thay dropped and the whole process would be repeated. They're front wheel drive, so there's no "Drive Shaft" but instead they have a transaxle, which was usually the cause of their demise. That's where I'd be looking for the source of that "clanging" your talking about.........How'd I get on 4wheelheaven.com ????

I believe Fender makes vintage noiseless pups for the bass. Both P and J and the combo. Otherwise, try lifting the ground.

I've just started playing bass semi seriosly and it's a cheapo thing and not worth spending money on - however I do think it's something to do with the ground - not sure really I'm a bit clueless when it comes to fixing guitars.
