:-) Ok guys, This thread will be for you to upload the song which you want on the CD. I think the Cd should only have original material on it to avoid all problems with copyright. You can upload the song you want on the Cd here.
There will be also some Jams which we did on 6SH. I also want to put some comments from us the members in the book inside the Cd case, so if you have any comments you would like to make, you can send them to me in privat mail of 6SH or here. Take note that the CD will be in Mp3 format.

P.S Can you guys pm me the your song? Lets make some space for the site.
Thanks

If you have no Idea of what I'm talking about, just click here:http://www.6stringheaven.com/forum/vb/showthread.php?t=3076

I'll be the first to contribute. I wrote this in 1993 after a little argument with a former friend. after you listen, remember the song has nothing to do with mice but that's why it had to be cheesy. I can send a wav file if you choose this song to be on the cd.

Thanks Guitarprima! I'm looking forward to go home and listen to it. Mp3 is fine. The Cd will be in Mp3, and that will make lots of space for many songs.

On a cd there about 700megs so we can fill the cd if we want. That makes lots of songs in mp3 format, but there will be some jams that was recorded her on 6SH.

I do not want to appear selfish just wondering, how many entries, I would naturally only submit one, I may have a couple now, to choose from, but I think this requires a special event, like writing one, I have a few ideas, to include vocals is ok? or are we doing exclusively guitar songs? something to ponder . .

this is very exciting,

my songs are typically pretty big so maybe we should have a time limit, 6 minutes or something, i can whip out 14-24 meg songs no problem, which would leave less room, and I dont wish to step on toes.

I think we should all have one each to start and if there is more space on the disck we can put a second one. It can be a complete song with vocal or just instrumental. As long as it is music

this is called Fade, it is about a father and son, father left early and all that bit and the things people go through in life . . .
this tune means alot to me, and has remained hidden for a bit, be prepared to feel emotion maybe if you have gone through some stuff, I will submit a lyric sheet for it as well. Thus far this is the best I have.

I will purchase at least a few copies of this cd also to spread around to my family.how professional are we going for packaging? I can draw up some stuff maybe, let me know.

5.92 megs or so, 6:27 length

This one is all me for a change...drums, bass, keys and guitars. I think it was written about a year ago. Style-wise I wanted to do something that was 'me' rather than copy any guitarists but when you wear your influences on your sleeve, they show!

This is 'High 5'. :thumb:

WoW! Good start here. Thank you all for giving some songs for the CD.
Zap and I had a little conversation, and we think if you submit the songs to my private mail it would be more of a suprise when you'll get the CD.It would also free up some space for the site.As I receive the song I will put it in my 6SH CD file till the CD will be complete. Thanks

I have another little Idea....

If you have time to design a little label for the CD which I can use. It doesn't have to be the complete cover, but just a little picture which I can stick somewhere in the book inside or anywhere else. If you come up with Ideas , just post them here.....cheers

I tried, but the resolution is crappy. The url is there Chris. Are you talking about"6stringheaven.com"? is that the url? Don't forget, it's only the CD sticker.
There will be more on the CD cover, front , and back, and inside.I'm open to Ideas. If you have Ideas post them here.

Here is another angle of the CD:http://www.filelodge.com/files/room12/293785/6sh%20cd%20sticker2.jpg

I might do a second version , so you will have the chance to choose which one you want.

Only one thing, "The Members" is of course the name of a band, is that a issue ?

I don't think so. The name of the Album is 6stringheaven.com.The members is like a title to show that the music on the disk is from us.

How about a guitar where if you held the guitar your left and right hand would have to play the notes. I saw one once on a B movie around 1990. It was about a nerd who wanted to be a guitar god so he enlisted the help of a voodoo witch lady. She killed him and he came back as a guitar god and had this guitar with two necks. A righty and a lefty. very bizzare movie but there was some great playing in it. Anyway, that guitar would look cool on the cd.
