I second that. I was getting a little nervous here. What I don't understand is the guy says he is a teacher. Well, can't he find something constructive to say? The thing I love about this site is that all levels of playing are welcome. This jam is going great so far. Great work guys!

I agree... there is something wrong with Joey here.

The arrogance is there, but the spelling is and grammar is far too correct. Hell, there's even an occasional comma. But the ha ha ha, is usually hehehe, and he signs most every post as either Big Daddy, or Joey.

LOL I smell a prank.

Quality post Steve and not in the JD way...that variax sounds nice dude and I didn't notice it cutting in and out but my ears aren't what they use to be...and what warts you hangin out with the California toads or something...hope its not contagious:nervous:

Guitarpima
09-11-2006, 08:28 PM
Just put some compound W on those warts and play on. Great job. I've heard mixed reviews about the Variax's. I've thought of getting one but then I would have to get a XTL. Then theres the matter of I don't like playing guitars with less than a 1-11/16 nut width. I go smaller then I can't play chords very well. I wish they made them with 2 inch nuts.

sweet, i wrote a full blown song yesterday(lyrics included) about the problem in todays society with racism, and how people are prejudice today...... well of course that is conveyed in key words, but every1 that heard it so far, thought it was pretty cool and its nearly finished :)

and there are like extra 5 songs that we as a band didnt finish yet :(

my girlfriend is angry with me that i dont spend enough time with her now, its school/individual practice/ band practice ... and keeps on rotating like that

Well It aint exactly writing songs as such Rob, the keyboard player has some great ideas, I just enbelish them with some rhythm guitar parts, both acoustic and electric on some and help with the arrangements. We have then been putiing those ideas down onto the 24 track that I bought. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we are going to have the drummer add some tracks and then see where it goes from there. Some of it is sounding pretty good though. I have also been asked to come up with some guitar parts for a couple of other tracks that the guitar player has written, very rocky stuff ala Deep Puprle, which I am looking forward to doing. As for playing live, I dont think so, not really my bag, prefer the comfort of watching somebody else do it whilst I sup a few pints. It's all great fun at the moment thoguh and giving me a chance to play with some top notch musicians who I am in total awe of, but who I also find very inspiring too.

Sounds great mate but think of this, if you are embelishing over ideas, or coming up with guitar parts lead or rhythm for original songs then how can you not perform if you are the originator(is that an actual word?) of the actual parts? :nervous: you are on the verge Zap, you know you love it dude everyone knows it to :-)

I agree with Zombo there, both sounding great GP and Zane.

Zane sounding very Dave Gilmourish with that neck pup and tone.
Thanks guys, and yes I was using the neck pickup for this lead.

OK finally, had to make it a little smaller on bitrate, 110 or something, but here it is, if its not good enough quality, let me know and ill make it better and host it elsewhere.

you shouldnt have had to change the bit rate, the file should be the same size after you had recorded your part, so there shouldnt be any size issues with the upload, it has affected the quality a bit changing it.

Very very nice playing my friend Mr P you did the end justice I really enjoyed it a lot very mellow!
We always record with 128 bitrate this compresses the track but at an acceptable rate for us all you didn't know that but don't worry next time is fine!
So another Zombo challenge over I would just like to say it was most superb excellent all of you I look forward to the next one !

I tried to sound as classy and jazzy as possible tone wise, recorded clean and added effects after in sonar6 then had to convert it with adobe audi, but i ran it out at 320 like a dork, lol then had to cut it down to 100 or so from there, but nxt time il be sure and moderate the sizing better. "Mr. P" lol I wish I was as good, all I can do is keep learning. As far as speed, I wasnt really goin for that as much as the blues jazz feel of the whole thing, I loved the progression involved. Thanks for posting a nice backing!

Just listened to jams part 1 & 2 and I'm running out of original ways of saying how amazed I am by the talent on this site. Excellent work by everyone involved.

Is it just me or has Andy (Viscolex) gone from being 'okay for his age considering his limited playing experience' to 'guitar god' in the space of one year?
