View Full Version : Boss DD2
I bid on a Boss DD2 which has a more analogue sound than the current DD3 but I won another last night on ebay.com unexpectedly so if anyone want s to grab this one let me know
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170052604485&rd=1&rd=1
so you could end up with 2?
Yeah go on say it Shep... I'm a numpty i know. The intention was to have a DD2 and older DD3 but i guess i can re-create the reverb effect with 2 staggered delays using 2 dd2 units we'll see.
you can make some pretty weird stuff with that indeed stew, perhaps keeping both of them is worth consideration
Ini you are right I am resigned to it now 14 mins and i am still highestr bidder. The JSX has no reverb and if yuo use 2 delays one liong and one short with low levels in the fx loop you can create reverb without losing the warmth that reverb sometimes does.
As far as I know even Satriani himself uses two delays connected in series for reverb-like effects so that would be quite an addition for your satriani rig
Ini I ain't as daft as I look
 I lost by £2 with less than 20seconds left. So off to buy a DD3 as planned before :thumb:
I had a bit of a hairy moment last night bidding on a DD3 with an analogue modification. I was outbid with an hour to go put in another winning bid but the wee one needed a feed I got back to it with 2mins to go and lost my wireless connection.....60mins passed and I broke my mouse in frustrastion and rewoke the bairn swearing at the top of my voice  Anyway turns out I had one it afterall hehe.
So I'll post some pics but basically my pedalboard will consist of Digitech whammy into Boss BCB60 pedal board which will power 535q wah, boss ds1(keeley mod) into Boss OC3 back to input of JSX amp and also in the pedalboard for power only will be the Boss DD2 set for short delay into Boss DD3 long delay into effects loop of JSX amp with effects levels set reasonably low to create reverb like sounds. Photos of this will follow and I'll get some video photage also.

Jeez Stew, that's way too much money for that pedal. That's the price I piad in the 80's brand new.You should let me know when your looking for something like that.I can maybe get you some better deals from Canada even with postage.
Look's like you missed that one:http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=140057819700
Steve that is why I am glad I didn't win that one...relief I was beaten to it ...the one that I did get from Canada was a fraction of the cost inc postage but DD2 do go for a bit because of the sought after superior circuitry. The early DD3 was essentailly the same pedal rebranded then was replaced with the MIT model (non-blue label).

I've seen them in the stores and they are a bit more expensive than the early 80's
