going to have a bit of a whinge... we got tickets to Eric Clapton here in Jan. About 5 or 6 rows back. Not usually a whinging matter. BUT... earlier this week a mate of mine rings me from Wellington - he's in a band that is doing support for Elton John when he comes here, I never batted an eyelid to that - I'm not an Elton fan, but he rang up to say.... yes you guessed - Eric Clapton support as well.... he says himself though that he was in the right place/right time to get the gig with the band - they haven't even released a single here yet, but they have an awesome manager! I'm over the moon really, he's a really nice guy and is an excellent guitarist!

My whinge really is that I know the wife is going to nag me as I'm going to be guitartech for the night, with the backstage pass etc.... if she's lucky I may come and pick her up after the 'afterparty'.... I am not worthy!

I'm sorry but i would say nothing and enjoy myself, probably get really sauced.
then wake up in a crumpled heap and most most probably have to face the music :-(
