I am so excited, I'm all set to see Steve Vai at the Fitzgerald Theater on 4/15/05. I got two 7th Row Center tickets, and two Aftershow Backstage passes  I'll be so close, I'll be able to see him play everything and then get backstage after the show and get his autograph 8)

I got "hooked up" There is a pretty easy way to get the passes without actually winning them, you just have to get your name on the "Aftershow List" You might have to talk to an Australian guy

That is really sweet! The first one signed, cool :D :thumb:

I'm in the process of trying to upgrade my tickets to the "Evo Premium Experience" if there is two left I am buying them. All I can do is hope and pray until I hear back

Well, the show on 4/15/05 St. Paul, Fitzgerald Theater was AWESOME!!

Vai opened up with a double neck BMRC and played track two off his new album. Vai then played a few more new tracks and them rock out to the oldies but goodies. I kept waiting for Vai to play FTLOG and he just never pulled it out, when he invited Eric Sardinas on stage to play "The Attitude Song" I thought it was all over. But sure enough TMAC started softly playing the keyboard chords and after a few seconds the two of us in the audience that recognized it started screaming "YEAH!!" Vai looked right at me and grinned, he them played the most amazing piece of music I have ever witnessed in my entire life.

After the show I used my pre-attained VIP aftershow passes to BS with some roadies, jeremy from LGM and even Thomas Nordegg!! Vai eventually came out and signed my truss rod covers for my vwh, FP and UV777BK. My guitar teacher wanted me to ask Vai how he hit the high a in the crossroads piece, and Vai replied that he slowed the tape down in the studio and hit an F# and then when the tape was played at normal speed it was a high a.
