So here it is sorry I am a bit late this time I have started this off with my new Strat this time!
Don't shred this one please try and keep it clean you don't have to by the way just try and keep it mellow! I will be doing a part II with a different backing track I got from Rlee it is a more melodic bluesy sort of thing!
This first track may prove to be a challenge so listen to it first and try to jam with it before you say yes, many of you drop out of a challenge because you find it difficult so think this one over first!
Put your name up whereverer you want it to go it's a free for all!!
The track is in D and as you can see I have started it let me know if you like it!

Zombo this is a great BT. I like the tone of your guitar for this.
Love the tone Rob. I always liked the chunky feel the LP's have. Great job. Nice bluesy feel.
I like how you change your sounds and try new ones all the time. top notch playing.
PS. I'll post the start of part II tommorow.

I think that the natural breaks on this backer mean there are only 4 slots per track, so this may need some re-ordering
Thanks guys, having problems with my broadband connection at the moment so I am using works :-) I havent listened to Zaps bit yet but telewest promise to sort me out!!! I will believe it when I see it.

Whoo hoo broadband is up to a decent useable speed again, so been able to listen to work so far by you Zap and GP on track 2, Great stuff Zap you never fail to fit in with something that compliments what others have done, plus I thought that track was a tuffy to play over, I know Zombo said it was in D but I still don't know what scale I played :hammer:

Same here Rob, I used some odd phrygian thing again plus some pent / minor bits, not sure which key, somewhere between A and G i think. Seemed to work though. Thanks for the comments mate. 8)

Well, if there are four natural sections per backer and Pollin and Visco are out, then I would say it goes like this:
Part I
1) Zombo - Done
2) Rlee111 - Done
3) Zappafan - Done
4) Ini - Done
In fact, part one completely done and very well by all!! LOL
Part II
1) Guitarprima
2) Zane
3) Bluesgeek
4) Bluto
Part III
1) Stevedak
2) Zeusse
3) Stempy
4) Farley
All OK with this??

EDIT: I see what you mean. GP has used a totally different backer!! I'll PM him and ask him to re-start part two of the Zombo challenge and set up a new thread for ir as, after all, Zombo's BT is what we all signed up for.
So, this should be it.

2) Zane - Next

I'd just like to say a "Well Done" to all who took part in the first completed December Zombo challenge, Great start by Zombo, cool mellow tones and playing from Rob, a real steely Dan sound (IMHO) and great little runs from Zap and some nice haunting tones and great long runs from Ini.
Cheers guys!

Most excellent you boys did a fabulous job with this first one.....ini is having way to much fun I can see with his Digitech..LOL I had this backer at one point but can't find it to post so Zombo will get on when he emerges from the shadows.....:space:
Nice job guys.
A smooth opening from Zombo, a bit of bite and attitude from Rob, new-age synth tones from Neal and well finished by Ini with that haunting reverb-soaked ending.
I guess that due to Pollin and Visco dropping out there won't be a part 4.
Bugger it... I was looking forward to putting the XTLive through its paces... aah well, next time.
