Thanks for listening. I decided to leave it the way it is because all the drum hits will line up better for everyone. So I guess farley can take the last three rounds unless someone else wants to end the last round.
Great stuff GP plus even greater its an original I wouldn't know where to start :-)

Thanks Rlee. I came up with that at a laundry mat. Some lady was bored with me playing classical while waiting for my laundry and came up to me and said, "how about some good ole fashioned blues". Little did she know what I as playing was more old fashioned that the blues.

Hi GP! Great backer and great playing but... this has caused a bit of confusion mate (see thread no. 1) so, would you mind, as well as having this one, if we stick with Zombo's backer so the we can finish parts 1, 2 and 3? This one of course can still be finished and, it is a great backer but, not what people thought they would be playing to originally if you see what I mean.
So..... I'll put up the original backer again and change the header of this to GP's and Zombo's backer version 2. Hope that is alright with you and that you can take the original No. 2 away!
Apologies mate but I was confused when I downloaded yours.
BTW, I'm well up for this one as well!!

Oh damn! I've cocked up then. sorry. Use whichever you wish then. Just seems odd to start with one BT and move on to another one before we've played over the original to me. Yours could still be played over though. Still it's up to you guys.

Good lead there BD. Nice licks there. I like the space it has. I would have left the rhythm part off after you recorded your lead though. It took away from the overall progression of the song. :nono:
Other than that, Great job. :thumb:

I'm not frieked out. I've modified jams too. I'm sure Zane is having a little chuckle about this. I've changed bass lines on one of his tracks.

Im in GP, bout time I took my first plunge into a 6SH Jam. If there is a slot left of course. I might need to know my exact time slot though, last time I layed a solo down for a jam without knowing my time slot I played too much lolol.

Just take 2 rounds of the 12 bar blues. Have fun!
Danny
08-09-2007, 06:23 PM
Is this a full on jam with other members or just a record a solo to it and post it up type affair ?. Was assuming the first one. Im not familiar with the way of things round here, was perhaps presumptuous of me to assume it would be just like GB etc.
I'll lay something down anyway and check back to make sure. Have quite alot of stuff to finish up but I was wanting to get involved with a forum jam for a while now but never saw one with an empty slot. Gotta be quick here I guess lol.

Other people can join in. So just 2 rounds that will leave 3 for the last person though. So go for it Danny!

lolol, let me try to explain again what is confusing me. Are you taking everyones solo and mixing them together into a fnal finished jam or are you just getting random people to come jam to it so we can listen to what they do ?.
I am used to the previous on GB and G101 before that and that's what I thought this was. Am I wrong ?. I might have signed up over 2 years ago but as you can see I am only recently getting more involved, so im not used to the way of things here. For all I know they may be different.

Ok now I got you. just mix your take with the BT and post it. Here at 6SH we just add to what is done and go from there. Seems a bit of a hassle to have everyone post just they're solo and have someone piece it together later.

Ah I see, so not a forum jam type affair then. I guess that gives me time then. Infact I might wait around and try to join a more forum jam orientated thingy if possible. It seems more fun to me lol.

It's kind of what you would consider as a roundup jam

My brain hurts now. :wall: if the whole forum were in one jam room, then we would all take turns soloing. This is the cyberversion of that. If you want to take the next turn, please do so. We would love to hear you! The more, the better this forum is.

I dunno, the process of someone uploading a backing, listing 6 or so time slots and getting people to jump in, designate themselves a time slot (or get given one) then go and record a solo for that time slot seems to work fine. Someone will then mix all solos together (usually aided by people leaving a few drum clicks from the backing on their solo for lining up etc) and then it's all mixed together and posted and you have a tune with numerous different payers on it. Have had the pleasure of doing alot of those and they're fun. You don't do those here at all ?.

I see, well... I could try and "drive it" but im a bit busy for that right now. It's definately something worth doing though IMHO. Rather than just having people post up snippets of jamming to a backing. To put in a bit of work and have a real collaborative effort seems more rewarding to me personally.

We just need two more to finish this one!
Norman this is up your ally. One can take two rounds. The other can take the last three.
