Well i was a bit disapointed in MAIDEN they only done three old songs but they did the whole of the new album in order, not that much of a bad thing but you would have thought they would have split the new songs up a bit and do more of the classics, everyone i spoke to felt the same.

DAMN, I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL THE CLASSICS AS WELL! Bring your Daughter, Run To the Hills, Trooper, Number of the Beast, Aces High etc.

MAIDEN ARE ABSOLUTLY LEGEND! loud though! There were only a couple of classics: 2 Minutes to Midnight and Hallowed Be Thy Name and they played the entire new album. Exceptional Performance.

As for Trivium, what can I say but a heap of :nono: . There were people booing at them and every word the singer guy said was the "F" word. They were the worst support act ever, just a load of racket.

Strange to have them supporting Maiden. Suppose, a case of old versus new. I can listen to Trivium when I'm in the mood, not live I hasten to add. But at the right time when I've got a head rush, I can get into them.

Maiden, or Bruce Dickinson on the other hand, are like old pros and the fact that they still draw the crowds in are a testament to them and their music. It'd be interesting to see whether Trivium are still around, pulling them in in around 20 years or so.

Saw them last night, Lauren Harris (Steve's daughter) played about 5 songs too, wasn't too impressed with her but her guitarist was awesome, he was like a younger Zakk Wylde, same tone and the licks he used sounded similar too, I probably would have gone and got a drink when she was on if it wasn't for his solos and riffs.

Wasn't too impressed with Trivium, all they seemed to be interested in was getting the biggest circle pit ever, I did go in for a bit on the last song though, Im only 20 but felt old running around in the pit!

Maiden were Maiden, fantastic show, amazing performers.

First guitar lesson I had was from Adrian Smith, First band I saw in a pub were called Evil Ways (in the Amhurst Arms in Hackney).changed name to Urchin , They had Adrian on lead and vocals, he then joined Maiden ( I drank in the Ruskin Arms too so saw them from the very early days and you knew from day one they would be awesome)

IMHO they are always better with Adrian as he takes the sound up a level.

Hallowed is still my favourite song
