I figured I better get this out quick. Getting ready to go on holiday. Warm sunny Florida for the holidays for me.

It is not so easy to play smooth without the distortion. it is very forgiving. My nails are finally long enough and this one is Mark Knopler style. Well, he would be smoother.

Sounded great GP I gotta stop chewing my nails and get at that finger pickin stuff it adds an extra little bit to the already great tone you had. And lets have some new members jump in on this one!

its in D.. pmsl.. thats the wrong approach... get a full progression and then use chordal tones/notes for the full on jazz approach..

or just w@nk around in D like i probably will

Nice one James  that's the spirit.

Does anyone ever actually bother to work out a full chord progression then say "Looks like it's got to be mixolydian this time" 8:nono: 5 to that.

That's the difference between them 'pros' and us amateur backroom axe slingers.

exactly.. if i get the chance i gonna try to take onboard wah-wah's comments and use my new boss micro br for recording.

but i'll probably either:
a) fail to find time to record it and bail..
or
b) widdle in d minor in a manner that is unsatisfactory to me

Dont forget tho its just a 50/60 second slot and a jam at that, but I know what you mean, I sometimes post stuff I am unhappy with just because I have volunteered for the jam and haven't had time to come up with something more than a :nono:

Zombo, my apologies man....I'm afraid I won't have the time to take part in this right now. :( I'm actually bummed out, but things are just a bit too busy for me and it all hit at once. Thanks so much for saving me a spot my friend, hopefully I can grab the next one. I'm sorry if I held the project up gentlemen.

To be honest mate, it's pretty mushy time-wise and there's a coupla dings but I thought it would get it moving again. My son was jabbering in my ear as I played it so I gave up after about 5 attempts!

Listened to yours and thought it was amazing. You really are becoming something else on the guitar mate. Also Pima's set the tone really nice. :thumb:

Looking forward to hearing this complete but I gotta say, mine was a bit messy (and I'm not saying that all au-fay...I really mean it). I suppose in the end only ourselves know whether something we do is good or bad BUT it's fun and thats what counts. C'mon blood and tears...let's hear it. :)

Lovely finish to that guys. Chris, sounded pukker, even tho' you weren't too chuffed with it, I thought it was ace.

Bloodandtears, loved the sound you got there, pitch perfect I reckoned, lovely stuff.

Great work Wah Wah. My son was yelling at me to watch him destroy probe droids while I recorded mine. He made me forget to end the second A7 chord with the different inversion the second time rhytmicly the same way as the first time.

The last link by B and T would not work for me. Can someone fix the link or repost it please.

Great work B and T! That topped this jam nicely. I love the tone from you Shep and Wah.

It was a priviledge to part of this jam (all parts).
