This 1994 film shot at Earl's Court on the Division Bell tour is the only live performance of the classic Pink Floyd album captured on film. Featuring three original members of Pink Floyd lead by David Gilmour with Rick Wright and Nick Mason and with some extraordinary visual aids and film sections, the concert is directed by the award-winning David Mallet and is a stunning journey to the dark side and beyond. Contain some strong language.

Miss it if you dare !!

It was superb...the lights (obviously) are just stunning. I saw them do the same show at a Nordoff Collins Music Therapy thing in 1990 but it was an outdoor gig, the wind got up and they had to abandon the 'disc' behind the stage...it wasn't the same.

I have the pulse DVD, but I STILL watched it, excellent show, Dave Gilmour and Tim Renwick have gotta be two of the most accomplished musicians I have ever seen.

If you havent heard of Tim Renwick before he is one of the most sought after session musicians ever. He has played with the who's who's of top flight british musicians and singers for decades now. Plus, if he's good enough for Gilmour, that just about says it all :-)

Here's some info you may be interested in:-

There arent many other musicians that have a list like that on there CV.

well I finally bit the bullet and we're getting sky digital this week. My primary excuse is so that we can get the terrestrial channels much better here, but we also get a channel called uktv - so I can watch endless re-runs of 'On the Buses', 'Morcambe and Wise' and the 'Two Ronnies'. oh dear ;)

Just goes to show that the session guys are probably more rounded and way more experienced than the stars!

Indeed and sadly overlooked when it comes to the credit for their part in so many albums.

yeah there are so many that don't get the recognition they deserve, like James Jammerson and the guys who played (wrote the music as well usually) on all the old motown records, they got paid a couple of dollars an hour and no royalties etc.... "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" is a good doco/book if you can find it :)

Pretty much the same story with Duck Dunne and Steve Cropper, at least they started getting some recognition after the Blues Brothers

One guy I would pan was that winker who did the live berlin wall performance of the wall, I cringe at the stuff he did, the crowning glory being stuffing up 'Another Brick in the Wall Pt 2' just because Cyndi Lauper was distracting him  it was a shame really!

Tim has been around for ages with the PF stuff, but honestly I reckon Snowy White is really the other PF member worthy of a big mention, he was in the 'Surrogate Band', is a fantastic guitarist, and a long time member of the 'Bleeding Hearts Band', and a commensurate session guitarist as well! Another untold hero! I've recently 'obtained' some of his recent blues stuff, and the guy can wail!

You're right BG. Snowy White is something else and was worthy of his Pink Floyd status.
'Bird of Paradise' still gives me goosebumps when I hear it.:-)

I love him just because he must have bought that goldtop new, and he's never played another guitar... yep Bird gets me too, and he had a spell in Lizzy :D
