I think thats a whole different story that doesnt need to be discussed on this thread.
Hey Zane, it mught be worth setting up a seperate thread for the second Jam so as not to be too comfusing.
That aside, great stuff Kirk, loved the playing there, well done.
............. so who's up next ?

Thank you for the oportunity and my apologies for taking a long time. :D
I had to put it on Soundclick as it refused to upload here. It's the song on top of the list.

Hey CC. great playing and great tone. You must be using Sonar. Before you export the audio, make use you click on the master track. only your lead track is there, not the BT.
Happy New Year!!!

Thank you Guitarpima, I use Garage Band (Apple). I played my Epi Les Paul through a POD 2.0 with added plate reverb afterwards.
I always only send my bare track when doing collabs, so the producer can adjust levels to his taste for final mix.
Was I supposed to do it differently?

CanyonCarver..I don't know if the booze was to strong at the New Year party , but it seems like my backing track is gone and it's only your solo there. Can you check it?
Steve Zane
01-01-2007, 07:09 AM
Right, I usuallly only mix my track, so the producer can do a final mix with the various players once all the contributions are in...
Who is the producer ?
Who is the producer ?
yeah, just mix your solo over the backer, then leave the rest of the backer for the next guy to solo over

OK guys, and thanks for the props.
At the site where I was, everyone was given a spot, record separately and send it to a designated producer for mixing... That's why I originally only posted my part without the backer.
I won't do it again! LOL

Sounding mighty fine CC I've found this to be a tuff track to come up with stuff Zane likes to watch us sweat.LOL
I'm loaded with cold and I dragged myself out of bed specially to do this...not the best, I know, I'll re-record it if it's that bad.

Correct! Actually, I kind of switched between them both, phrygian and phrygian dominant, altering the 7th degree each time...

Well, I don't know either of those scales! LOL or how to alter a 7th degree! Are we still talking about guitar playing?? :eh: I'll see if I can do something with this either tonight or tomorrow night guys. One thing I will gaurantee..... it will not be anything like any of the superb efforts so far! LOL A lot slower from my old pentatonic fingers that's for sure!
Brilliant stuff shep BTW, the 3rd brilliant take in a row!

Sorry guys, I hit a brick wall with this but I'm gonna post anyway just to showwhat happens when I get stumped. Hessitant, crap sound, no idea where to go with it and generally dissapointed but hell, it was a hard three to follow for an old fella that can't shred! LOL Record over it if you want, give me advice (ie don't follow skilled shredders again!) if you want. Whatever!
Anyhow.... I'm putting down the guitar, picking up a large glass of whisky and going to watch some crap on TV! Goodnight!

Well, I just listened to it for the first time since I posted it but I would not have if it had not been for the kind words of GP, Doug and Dan. So guys, thanks. I had a little bit of a bad day yesterday and perhaps I let it get on top of me and was a bit hard on myself! 2.36 was a shocking moment but other than that I guess it's not as bad as I thought! So, thanks chaps, or as I'd like to think of you, my friends, you have cheered me up no end! (OK I'll go now before I sound to slushy! LOL)
