Have you done this one before? Sounds familiar.
I'll have a go at this. Not an easy one to do though which is cool. I like challenging myself.

Sorry to hear you're injured thats not good news. Hope it gets better soon.
I'll get this one rolling as soon as I can, I guess there's no rush though... still plenty to be done on part 1 just yet.

Indeed, no rush on this December 2006 Jam, :-) Damn, it'll soon be 2007 though
Okay, I have my part done. As Zane knows, I had problems with this backing track causing my guitar signal to distort and break up. After much faffing about I got it sorted by lowering the track levels of both the BT and the guitar, then raising the final level using the master volume slider. I wish I could explain why this happened in the first place and why the above method solved the problem but I cannot. Suffice to say that this whole recording and mixing thing will always throw up a few problems here and there but a solution is almost certainly available for those who persevere.
Anyway, enough of my blah blah blah... here's the opening to Zanes December Jam Part 2... enjoy.

Great start Phil. Getting that pointy headed thingy going like a beaut:-D
Thanks for your kind comments Dan.
Let's hope that this spurs more people along to join in and fill up this excellent backer. Okay, I know it's not still December and this is a December jam but like I said, this is an excellent backer and deserves to be used... or abused, whichever takes your fancy.
Anyway, I decided to do something different today, so I tabbed out my own solo ... yes, obviously the one to this jam :-) I did it just for the fun of it but who knows, it might help some of the less experienced among us to understand what goes on inside the head of a more experienced rank amateur

Great solo Six! I like the structure and great tone as well.
I don't know if I could tab my stuff. I usually come up with a framework of where I want to take it and go from there.
Thanks for the comments guys and I'm glad to see this beginning to move along.

It's funny but I had to slow some of it down in Media Player to figure out exactly what I'd played, I wouldn't have got the tab right otherwise

Ok, I just finished my part. A little Lochrian and then some Phrygian and a something else? Some of it seemed shakey but it is a harder track.
Enjoy!

Stunning start Phil, really powerful and melodic, loved it! Hypnotic stylish and dead accurate playing from Zane and heck GP that solo was awesome I was kind of not expecting that (I don't mean that in a bad way BTW!) I really liked it! Awesome job all round so far and Mr Zane, a really great backer!

Sounding very good so far guys.
Six, thats great stuff mate, and tabbed out too, how cool is that ???
Zane, very understated but technically very proficient as always. Nice work.
GP, great stuff with that very mystical eastern vibe going on, excellent.
I might have a noodle and see what I can come with on this too.
Guitarpima... awesome playing, phrasing and tone... there wasn't a single thing I didn't like about that, maybe I should invest in some of those LickLibrary DVD's. I think a rep point is due.
