Sorry to have taken so long with this, I'm sure you're all eager to get stuck in.

The delay was caused by me trying to expand my knowledge of scales/modes.

In the end I decided that D Aeolian worked best on this one, and not wishing to stay in one position I branched into E Locrian, F Ionian and a tad of G Dorian, which you scale guru's will know all work as extentions to D Aeolian by following the same sequence of whole and half steps  Jeez, my brain is mashed now.

John... any chance of you mailing an untouched version of this backer to me please?

I'd like to use it for improv practice.

This is one of Zomb's best backers yet.

Bloody Hell after hours and hours of trying I am quite dissapointed to say the least, had me stumped as to what to play and I have given up. This is the only take I kept after continually hitting delete then record and repeat!! I think its pretty Sh*t I know its just a noodle but I dont like posting if Im not happy. Anyway never say never.

Damn you sixwheels you raised the bar way high :-)

Hey Rob , you do yourself an injustice mate, I thought that sounded mighty fine mate. Very Fluent playing indeed and certainly nothing be ashamed of. It fitted just a treat and I really liked the compressed tone that you used too.

Sounds really good. The tone and some of the playing remind me of Aldo Nova. Great work this jam is rockin so far!

You boys are tearing this one up. Zombo the shmooze leaks out of you once again and it just makes my day to see you back tearing things up again fantastic mate. Phil I nearly didn't recognize you on that one its gotta be the first time if I'm not mistaken hearing you go on a tapping frenzy and I gotta say more of that dude. Rob one of your best goes I've heard I think you get to critical with yourself but then I think we all do sometimes sounded the cats pajamas to me dude.......Well done sweet jam so far.

That was very cool Rob, I really enjoyed it. I don't know about me raising the bar too high, you were well up to the job and followed on in great style.

Not one of my best efforts, mind you I really wanted to do part 2 but missed it. I think this was a bit hard for me really, plus the harmonic effect I used doesn't seem to work very well. It was also a difficult place to come in where Rob left off, but less of the excuses, it's all good practice, and fun trying at least, so this is gonna have to be it. All hail to those that preceded me, damn good job, this guitar playing lark is harder than you think.:help:

Rob you naughty boy you tear yourself down so much that was superb I just loved the dive bomb harmonic thing followed by that gorgeous vibrato wow !!!
Excellent playing and great sound !

Stempy what am I going to do with you making excuses I loved it man I am so proud of you the only thing is its very low I want the world to hear what you can do so turn it up and repost!

Although it was difficult Rob and Stempy I think you'll agree it bought the best out in you didn't it and made you strive to do your best!

That is the whole point of the Zombo challenge !!

I couldn't agree more, in fact I think we all did more than just strive to do our best, we all achieved it!

Stempy, your playing sounded just fine to me though it was too quiet and therefore hard to tell exactly what was going on at times, have a little more faith in yourself... I know it's hard to do because we are all our own worst critics but honestly, it's these jams and this site that I have to thank for the improvements I've made in the last ten months or so and for the first time in twenty years I'm actually listening back to my own playing and thinking "That was pretty damned good" instead of "Jeez, I suck". Keep joining in and remember... the bigger the challenge - the harder you push yourself.

Congrats to everyone on this jam for playing their hearts out and making it a major success.

Sounding spot on to me guys. Following on from my comments on Zombo and Phil, Rob, I thought your tone and speed were just the ticket. I'd have to agree and say that I thought it was 1 of, if not the best you've submitted. Cracking jam mate.

Stempy, a little bit low on the volume (I know what its like!!!) but great playing all the same. Great feel to your part and on no account did you leave yourself down at all.

Well done guys. A great backer and great jamming by all of you. :thumb:

Thanks to everyone for your comments, I still feel my bit was wankage and I wasnt fishing for complimets but thanks anyway. I am not a natural shredder :-)
