Hey Viscolex, I think it was a bit to loud, but you have captured the mood very well. You have just proven that you can easily be versatile in your style.I've enjoyed listening to it.Great job! I like the tone and style you used in the last pattern...that was ace. Thanks for playing on it.

Well, I've had a bash at this before I've listened to any of the others so as not to influence my "creative thought patterns" LOL
I've not tried the Zane BT's before and to be honest, I'm out of my depth and got a little lost in the middle but see what you think.
BTW, I'll now have a listen to the others to see what I should have been playing!! LOL

Great job Zane. You really are a great player. I can't begin to stress how being versitile is key. I guess your house is filled with keys.
Man SIn. That was some great work there. Very good contrast between the sections.
Farly I love how melodic yours is. Great job. :thumb: :thumb:

I commend all of you guys for having a go at this, I cant even work out a key that seems to fit. I think it's that sort of sub bass sound, it kinda throws me and doesnt seem to lead my playing anywhere. If I could just say to Zane here that the backer seems to be very muted EQ wise, the drums seem to have hardly any treble to them at all, i dont know if that was the intention ?
Anyway great work guys.
BTW. That was pretty cool there Farl, like the twinned guitar bit mate, top stuff !!

Neil, the treble thing is because there is a flange on the snare.I tried to boost the treble but it made it sound a bit synthetic.

Here is my take. Tried for a different feel here. For me anyway. This one has some contrapuntal lines going on.
The key threw me off to Zappa.

contrapuntal ???? Dont know what the hell that means but it sure sounds great.
I might use that word next week at our rehearsals, just so I can see the blank looks on the other band members faces. :-)

Thanks for listening. It took me a while to find something to do with it.
Contrapuntal lines are just two melodic lines moving in opposite directions. The idea is to make the chord tones hit at certain spots to make it sound nice. Keeping the lines around the 3rd chord tones leading to and away from, is best.

I'm just throwing in a quick comment before I head out the door to my kids hockey tourny this weekend, normally I like to comment on each one individually but time ain't on my side this morning. All you guys have done a fantastic job here with this I noodled around with it the other day and have come up flat at the moment. A little get away from the guitar for a weekend I think will be good for me. Later on this week I might have something Zane

just got round to listening to all these guys, and I'm impressed
visco: great to see you feeling it and not just throwing 1000 notes at it. you will be a great player.
zane: as usual a fantastic solo over your great backer
sin: I liked the variation and an impressive middle section
farl: great job seemmed fine in the middle to me
guitarpima: Approached from a diffrent angle and an unusual take on it but very refreshing to hear.
welldone everybody :thumb:
Finally got some time to listen to the remaining contributions.... The previous time I tried to listen to these, the whole site fell away.... :D
Farl, nice melody. Sounded like a love song to me... When the twin comes in, it sure looks like they got together again....! Great!
Guitarpima, your version has some seasonable influences in my humble opinion. Nice playing!

Thanks siN. I reached way back to the days when all I played was classical guitar.
