I did this one a while ago at the guitarbt site, and got a pretty good response. I laid down the first solo, and you're all welcome to join in starting at 0:52. The chord progression in the middle section is a bit difficult to follow.
Note: Look for the updated version posted in the thread

Hey RickL is that backer from a midi file ? If you have the Midi file I woudl like to run it through my own synths and stuff to do my own version. If you have it I would appreciate a copy.

Thanks bro - I decided a long time ago that I wasn't going to live on the road. I got an offer from a promoter when I was 20 years old to be the lead guitarist of an opening act for a major concert tour in Europe. I hadn't completed college, and wanted to do that first, so I turned down the offer. Some years later, I got an opportunity to jam with Stevie Holland(original Molley Hatchet guitarist), both offstage and onstage. The last time I saw his face, he told me that he hoped I would never stop playing, because he thought that I smoked on the guitar. It was very flattering coming from someone like him. I was single back then, and now I have a family. I might be willing to entertain something on a part-time basis - maybe do some song writing collaboration, and perhaps a limited number of performances. Who knows what may be possible with the advent of the internet. :-)

Well here is a go I had at remixing the backer with some Midi kit, softsynths and drum samples, that I have. I thought this might leave a bit more room in the mix for the guitar parts that I have planned. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I havent had time to record them yet, but I thought I would see what you thought of the changed backer anyway. Hopefully I will get to record the guitar parts tomorrow,
Cheers.

Zapp - that is such a major improvement, bro! You are the Midi Hendrix for making the backer sound better than the original.
I had to remix my take with that one.

I hope I'm not out of turn. I had a bugger of a time getting the chords. Lots of nice chords in this one.
