First time in NZ, did a clinic here in Auckland tonight, $10 a ticket and its redeemable against your next purchase from musicworks - so FREE.

I really like Gilbert, he's one of the 'shredders' I can really listen to :) What a nice bloke too, when I left at 10:15pm he was still signing stuff and chatting away. Better start practicing my licks ;)

Absolutely awesome player and very funny guy, don't miss him if he's in your area :)

Indeed myself, Rick, Tony, Bloodandtears, guitarzone and wolfie saw him in Liverpool 2 summers ago. Cracking night for a fiver. Indeed very funny guy and awesome player but as you say one of those shredders that you can really listen to. Did he do the spice girls track 2 become 1 with the Blacksabbbath and LedZep meddley??

he was still there at 11pm apparently, I was tempted to get him to autograph my JCM800 head, but it would have been a bit random

Was there a bit of product plugging ie: Ibanez and Laney amps  your JCM wouldn't have gone down well lol?

yeah I left it out in the car in case the laney guys caught sight of it ;)

He was playing one of the PG sig's, one of the guys on our forum set it up for him (does all the quality control at the chain of musicshops PG was appearing for), said it took him an age.... but PG seemed to appreciate it

That Laney sounded excellent live too, definitely a great tone :) Perhaps I need to sell the JCM already....

His clinic tomorrow night is only an hours drive away.... its so tempting ;) if I didn't have band practice and an immense desire to crank the new Marshall, I'd shoot on over there. I could fly to Wellington for Wednesday night I guess
