Holy Moley! Vai & The Breed were smokin' last night!

A brand new club in Mobtown was christened by Steve, Billy Sheehan, Tony MacAlpine, Dave Weiner & Jeremy Colson. They were joined by opening performer, Eric Sardinas and a special guest appearance by Mike Keneally, during the encore performance of Zappa's "My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Momma". Sardinas opened the night and cranked his slide Dobro through what looked like a Soldano halfstack with a 1x15 cab under a 4x12. Vai & Co. began their night with Steve playing a custom Jem double-neck - one neck has the standard Jem Lo-pro Edge and the other is fretless with a hardtail bridge. The highlights were the cool acoustic set, the songs from the new Real Illusions album, Whispering a Prayer and the show closers, Liberty and For the Love of God. The solo performances by all of Steve's band were excellent and well placed within the 3 mini sets.

If these guys are coming to your neck of the planet, do not miss seeing this show!!! You'll miss out on an extraordinary night. These guys play for 3 hours and don't miss a beat.
