Had the pleasure of seeing the genius last night at the kirkstyle inn
What a night, superb guitar playing, good company and good beer.
Big doug,Stew and myself had a front row table to witness the superb playing
of an acoustic guitar set, which did include wait for it yes!! the Benny hill theme, I dont know if thats normally in your set Paul but we appreciated it anyway. Over the rainbow was an other highlight as well as songs from his albums.
The tapping technique on the acoustic was astounding.(a jaw dropper)
If Paul is playing a gig near to anyone,I would recommend you to go and witness this.

Thanks for a wee shot of the Avalon nylon six string Paul.
Much appreciated.

Yipindeedie superb gig from Paul. I still have not seen him play electric live in a band situation but these acoustic gigs are just awesome. Not your run of the mill acoustic unaccompanied set.

For those that have not witnessed Paul's acoustic gig..he plays through a loop effects pedal laying down essentially his own backing and then with the flick of the pedal plays lead over the top of it. I have never witnessed the likes of this kind of lead playing to this calibre on an acoustic guitar and like Andy would thoroughly recommend getting along to see him.

Hopefully as well can get some more Scottish gigs organised for the east coast and spread the word to the uninformed about this truly gifted guy.

Stew

PS. Scouring ebay for a loop station now

was it the 'over the rainbow' as played by Tommy Emmanuel or different :) Tommy's tapping/harmonics playing is pretty spectacular too!
