Dio era Sabbath - currently known as Heaven and Hell are coming to Arizona on the 22nd of April. Some friends back home in Canada saw them a few weeks back in Ottawa and said the show was great.
Anyone else planning on seeing them??
The ONLY time I've ever seen Sabbath was this lineup back in '81 on the Mob Rules tour. Although I've seen Ozzy 5-6 times solo, I haven't seen him with Sabbath... maybe someday.
I'm really looking forward to this show though. Dio's voice is still strong and powerful as ever.

Megadeth is on the bill here too Zeusse. Last time I saw them was in a bar in Ottawa... 1990 maybe?? Surprisingly clear sound for a heavy band.

Report on the show...
H&H were really good. It was great to see RJD and Tony and Geezer playing some great tunes. Vinnie Appice was on drums, which he was when I saw these guys on the Mob Rules tour back in '81 I think it was. (am I really that old now??)
Dio can still belt it out and the chemistry on stage between them all appeared to be really good too.
I was a little disappointed in Megadeth's sound quality. I had decent seats, about 30 rows back and just to the right of the soundman, so I should have been hearing what he was hearing. But I could hardly hear Dave Mustaine's leads for most of the show and the first half to 2/3's of the show the sound was "muddy" for lack of a better word. They sounded much better for the last 3-4 songs or so, just surprised it took that long. I could hear Glen Drover's leads very well.
Anyway, if you like the Dio era Sabbath, which I do very much, you'll love this show.
Cheers!
Scott
