I was cleaning up in my music room this morning, found the keys to my Tele's case. Set the case up on the table and put the keys inside turned to something else that caught eye. Then the unthinkable happened I turned back to the Tele and move out of my way and I hadn't latched the case. It flipped out of the case and hit the floor on the front bottom edge. Scuffed and chipped the paint.
Excuse me I think I have to go puke again

Og bugger!! I know how you feel mate... I picked up my Gibson LP Goldtop case and I hadn'y done the catches up. The LP rolled out as I was frantically thrying to put it down and the catch dug into the front of the bodywork!!! Oh well, that's Rock'n'Roll!! It still plays just as well and I was over it after a week or so!! LOL

OWWWWWWWW!
i did the same with my ESP - well, someone in my music class opened the case when i wasn't looking!
needless to say - he stayed well away from me after the beating i gave him!
i have to say though - i would complain if i'd done it to a strat. i always think they look better after having the sh**e knocked out of them!

I did that once with a 2 week old acoustic on a concrete floor. It was only a $450 guitar. But, it was 1986 and $450 was alot of scratch back then. It still played OK but had a nice gouge in the binding on the bottom. So, to steal someone else's catch phrase,"I feel your pain".
this all pales into insignificance..
my mates quite tasty pontiac firebird!!!
