Modify it after 57 seconds???? Can I exted it? change the speed a bit?? Actually, I'll do that after the challenge because I have a Monster riff for this! I bet some other bugger wrote it though! Ha ha! But as soon as I heard the BT it came to mind and it is (even though I say it myself!) a killer! Can't wait to share it!

Change it any way you like, bro! The reason why at :57, is because the original backer is so long and repetitive - basically the same changes throughout the length of the backer, and I wanted to make it short for the competition. I did a fade out a little after :57, so if you want you can copy and paste the last progression on the backer starting at :57 to extend it out, then just fade the whole thing out yourself if you feel it's easier to do it that way.

Well, I'm done. In fact..... I've been done about five times!! LOL But I keep coming back to the first one I did so, to ensure my mind is fully made up.... I just deleted the others!

Looking forward to hearing the other entries! I wonder how similar or different they will be?

This format is a winner!

Hehe - not the typical rock scale, so it might throw some people off, but if you're privy to southern rock it might not be so bad.

Well.... I have no idea what the southern rock scale is (or embarrassingly any other scale! LOL) But I played what I felt fitted.

Don't feel bad Norman. I don't know what most scales they talk about here and I was great at theory in college.

I just played in E mixolydian. Same as A major scale but you start on the E to the E.

I may be wrong but I think I combined a little of the "Allman Brothers", "Kansas", and "Lynard Skynard". There are so many bands in that genre. 38 Special, Blackfoot, Marshall Tucker band, Head East and others I can't remember are all Bands that I listened to.

This jam was pretty cool. It took me a while to decide which way I wanted to go with it.

Looking forward to hearing everyones. I hope Barry did one. He lives in the heart of it all.

Highway Star

I also hope Barry has done a version. A real Southern Rocker!! Nice!

Mine ain't so Southern I guess. Amanda thought I'd nicked a Hendrix riff! LOL
