well currently the server will only allow uploads of 2mb or under
i contacted the isp today and this will be being changed.
they will be setting this to 6mb hopefully soon.

well its up and running at last.
i'll mod it to death still and no doubt i'll kill it again.
but not for a few weeks for sure.
uploads are now up to 16mb each if you ask me nicely.
pictures work.
i'm just waiting for the bill for the bandwidth now that should be fun!

added a chat room.
added a welcome back line at the top nice :shock:
bloodandtears added to new area's for midi's and soundfonts.
khaos went mad and posted everything. :lol:
the domain www.6stringheaven.com is totally live and this site will be moving there soon instead of the redirect that you get now.

there is an icon next to the FAQ icon and one at the bottom of the page,
if it doesn't work, check your pop up blocker.

i'll give you a little tip, i have a mirror of this forum on my laptop and try all the mods on that site first and i back everything up twice, but i bet you know that anyway :lol: phpbb is so easy to break!

i didn't know it wasn't working thanks Jammy for letting me know.
i've just added a mod called now playing
it allows you to say what you are currently listening to.
:)
it is of course optional.
well here we go again.
i found a really cool fully fully modified board,
it has all the same mods as i've done here and loads more.
it's currently just in testing stage before i take the massive step of doing the upgrade.

the site move will probably not be taking place now until the eventual move to the new server.
this current server has a php version lower than the required version for the modded board.
i will keep you informed as to when and where.
it could be back on again.

it'll be tested over the next few days.

i updated the forum software to a later version, and a couple of things need fixing (as usual) however i won't get chance for a day or 2, so no private messages are one of the things.
I'll fix it as soon as possible.

you might have seen i've added the navigation block to the forum!
this means you can easily access the areas of the site that were only available from the portal!
so you now have access to uploads and downloads!
the photo album.
and can add links to your sites as well!
finally all virus is removed now! and i updated to "yet another" new version of the forum software!

just done an update to the forum software again, we are now on version 27^27^27*64^8 or something.
anyway like usual if you find anything wierd please tell me! or one of the other guys anyway!
should keep the hackers at bay for a few days :jump:
found 1 already i'll fix the games link tomorrow :)

i've upped the avatar size to 150x150 pixels and the max size to 20000 bytes.
should make for some interesting things!
I made the first purchase with some of the donation money.
A fully functioning chatroom!
Yeh i know i had one before! yada yada.
Well the big difference is this one doesn't crash the forum, it allows filesharing in a basic way! and it shows if there is somebody in chat on the index page!.

chatroom is now on a new version, as is the forum scripting.
Also at the request of siN i've made it so you can see if anybody is in the jam room regardless of where you are on 6stringheaven.
portal should be back tonight.
and some of the more familiar features that you were used to.

vbulletin released a new version of the forum scripts yesterday and as it is the first real update for 6 months i figured it was about time i did an upgrade.
Most things are still fine, but you will notice the recent threads have gone.
me and zappafan talked about it and we both noticed that without these showing the forum is around half as fast again, so we decided that they are now history from the forum home page.
To be honest when i first installed the modifcation i didn't have a clue about this software, but now i can create some similar stuff without the need for the cmps overhead.
if anybody finds any major errors please let me or zapp know will you.

i finally got around to making the jamroom work properly, it's only taken a year.
anyway it's now fully part of the site and the mp3 player works a treat again.
please use it! its good fun, if there isn't anybody in when you go in, just hang around a while and somebody will turn up..
also coming very soon, there will be a premium subcription area.
now this isn't to make us loads of money its to help the upkeep of the site.
I this section there will be lots and lots of extra features all accessable via a Very small one off payment (to be decided)
well its all up to date and running sweet.
i've added a couple of extras, most visibly the photo album on the front page.

Vbulletin have announced V4 of the scripts.
So over the coming days me and zappafan are going to asses then upgrade 6sh.
It has some major additions built into the scripts that are no longer just code modifications.
For those that remember i used to mod this site to bits, but over recent months backed off as it makes upgrades hard work.
it seems now that the option for inclusion of these will be back.
sadly it seems the arcade might have to go.
