I was wondering if anyone would know what to do with a Marshall 1960B 4x12 16 ohm cabinet to bring the ohm rating down.
I am running a Behringer LX1200 which is 120W@4 ohms into that cabinet. I'm not getting the volume I want due to the high cabinet ohms.
Anyone know how to rewire or have another solution?
Thanks
i missed this,
apparently you need to wire it in series as opposed to parallel the answer is on google.
or you could buy more stacks :)
I've rewired a Dynacord 4 speaker cabinet about 10 years back.
If the speakers are 16 Ohm each, then they are probably wired in 2 on 2 in parallel and serial.
2 times 2 speakers in parallel and both pares again in serial
( 1 speaker parallel to one other speaker ) in serial with (1 speaker parallel to one other speaker ).
To get 4 Ohms with 4x 16 ohms speakers, just put them all in parallel.
If you got other ohms, let me know.
And remember: All is own risk. No warranty from me.....
