Name 3 bands/artists you would like to do a cover for and the one with the most votes by the 1st of the year, will be the band/artist to cover. Simple enough.

1. Van Halen
2. Ozzy Ozbourne
3. Pink Floyd

I realized we should probably limit the bands/artist that have songs with a variety of skill level required to play them. That way us players who cannot play the really hard stuff can participate in this challenge.

Pink Floyd??? Curses! I've been practicing "Welcome Home" by Peters & Lee....

Actually, that tune seemed a bit to hard for me, so I was checking out "Save All Your Kisses" by Brotherhood of Man!

Still have no clue who "Dollar" is, tho.... (but my mirror always echoes... )

It looks like Pink floyd is it. I say the last day of January everyone should post entries. Or if someone would be so kind to set up a vote page for the entries.

Guitarpima

Since January seems to have been a rough month, I think we should push it back to Febuary. Say around the 21st. I was also thinking of changing the rule to post something from the three choices you made. All in favor type yes. If not, the original rules apply.

Cool BG! I too am doing Floyd with the help of Zeusse on vox. I hope he has time.

You can do any of the three you chose BD.

I changed that rule. I don't think anyone likes doing the amount of note bending Gilmoure does. I swear he must have been a failed scuba diver and died of the bends in a previous life.

Putting this up now as theres a chance I won't be around on the 21st - and I ain't going to miss this one!

Gunners Dream - Pink Floyd.

I chose this one for a couple of reasons - firstly I've never heard anyone cover it, secondly it's one of my favourite floyd songs, I find it very moving. I think the Final Cut is better than the Wall at times and certainly this track is one of the best.

Pretty much all by me, I downloaded a dodgy piano midi track and worked from there. Of course the original has little to no guitar in it, so I swapped out the sax solo.... here you go :D

Rob

If everyone has tracks ready, just start posting. On the 21st, is the last day. If a mod will create a poll on the 22nd, I would appreciate that very much.

I noticed on my post, that every 45 seconds, I could hear a tone play... Turns out I was using a Trial Version of a mastering plug-in! Arrgh!

Here's the "non-trial" version. I couldn't help myself, so I also tweaked it a bit...:10:
