I was bought up in a highly mixed race environment and I think the problem is that the people who run the country have never been in that environment themselves.
I have never had any problems with other races that I haven't had with my own race
I believe most Muslims would not even think about this.

This country is so full of shit. Namby-pamby politicians tripping over themselves in a bid to avoid offending every so-called 'minority group', yet in doing so they manage to offend everyone else. I'm quite sure that muslims, buddhists, christians, jews etc etc will not give a damn about the characters portrayed in an innocent fictional story intended solely for the purpose of educating and entertaining young children.
For years we were brought up learning about the marauding, raping and pillaging Vikings, but apparently they are now teaching children about the 'peaceful traders' known as 'Vikings'. This is claimed to be in the interest of European relations. The mindless wankers behind this change to school literature believe that teaching children about Viking marauders will bring about some kind of race-hate between the British and the Scandinavians... I've never heard such utter nonsense!
If all white British people traced their family history back far enough, we would almost certainly see a large number with Scandinavian ancestors due to the vast quantities who came and settled here.
I despise all this politically correct crap, it's time we got honesty and facts!

I lived in Lancs for a while & there is little racial tension in what is a majority muslim community.
I had a good laugh when the local by elections were on last year, cos the lib-dem candidate was nicked for harrassing voters
This country has gone mad ever since Corporal Punishment was banned. There is no discipline in schools, PC is just bollox. Can't tell the story of three pigs stuff that if you pardon the pun. My wife was born in Pakistan and we tell out daughter 3 pigs just about ever night she eats bacon and drinks Peach Schnapps...this thread may be better in the the Underworld so my wife can post what she thinks of British Muslims and Mullahs.

The asian countries avoided Pork because pigs were spreading disease much like our recent problems with cattle and foot/mouth and BSE. Somehow it has over the centuries been adopted into the religion rather than been simply a cultural thing.
The alcohol issue is another weird one....basically the eastern part of the planet genetically cannot produce an enzyme called alcoholase that breaks alcohol down into digetiable parts and therefore are intolerant to it. For those of us that believe in evolution how this came about is simple....when the planet started to evolve and leave Africa those that went West used alcohol to disinfect mand sterilise cooking utensils and developed the ability to tolerate alcohol. Those that travelled East used fire/heat to sterilise cooking utensils and did not gain this tolerance that the Western soiciety has. Now somehow this inability to cope with even the smallest amount of alcohol was then perceive as Evil and again managed its way into religion. It used to make me laugh in the early days of dating my wife visiting her mother while her 2 brothers and her sister's English boyfriend were upstairs getting highs kites while I was defending myself because i had one pint with my friend at the pub before going to her house lol

Racism, now there's an interesting topic for discussion.
A few years ago I was walking into town when a young lad of Asian origin shouted "White bastard" at me, oh how I laughed! For one - I know my parentage and I know I am not a bastard, two - I wouldn't give a damn even if I was, and three (most importantly) - how could I possibly be offended by someone calling me 'white', I am white, that's not an insult!
If I had called him a 'B.... b......' well you get the idea, I would have been arrested for making racist remarks.
Then there is the case of someone calling me a 'Brit', well I am from Britain so that is a perfectly acceptable thing to refer to me as, yet if I called someone a 'Paki' all hell would break loose! Why? 'Paki' is not an insult, it's just a lazy way of saying 'Pakistani'. I don't get what all the fuss is about. I know, I know, I should say "That person of Asian origin" but I really don't expect people to refer to me as "That person of British descent" it's all very silly.
People should stop getting so uptight about race & religion and focus their energy on something more constructive... Guitar anyone? LOL

Ok so while we're on a whinge I'd like to add a moan about health and safety. I was refused use of a cherry picker at a university the other day as I hadn't done the cherry picker safety course, this meant that instead of the relative safety of said cherry picker I had to haul a 20kg projector up a ladder to hang it on the 15m high ceiling, and I suffer from vertigo. So bollocks to health and safety too.

NormanLOL PMSl FArl. It depends if they are hypo or hperglycaemic. If they take too much insulin they go hypo(low blood sugar) and give them anything with sugar is a quick fix as you are unlikely to be standing there with drugs to help. But in general they shouldn't have sugary stuff that would make them go hyper(high blood sugar)..pmsl though Farl i like the way you think :smile:

When I was a lad we used to play an exciting game for about one week of the year. It was called Conkers!! Great fun (OK it was before games consoles...) Now, it is considered too dangerous and is banned from the playgrounds! So.... some PC advice.....
Threading a piece of string through a ping pong ball and painting it brown is ideal for a fun game of conkers that conforms with the 1974 Health & Safety Act, section 52, paragraph c......

We used to play "smear the queer" on the playgound. Sort of a free for all football(american that is). You just get the ball and run back and forth with it. Everyone else tries to get you.

Well he applied for Fire Service 2 years ago and had to put his ethnic group in. Now the application gform stated "ethnic minorities will be guaranteed and interview". How appalling do positively disciminate against this guy who genuinely has a talent to offer an employer and they may take on someone thick as mince and ham fisted (sorry should mention ham now should we lol) but belongs to a minority and got an interview. Disgraceful!
What goes around comes around. I think it's only a matter of time, perhaps several centuries, before 'white British' is just another way of saying 'ethnic minority', I mean the vast majority of us want to leave here due to this disgrace that is (allegedly) Great Britain! So one day all the immigrants will be spitting feathers when they see the white British minority being guaranteed interviews.
The trouble with our government is that they do not understand the meaning of the words 'middle ground' so they always apply one extreme or the other. Their tiny minds fail to recognise this and the upshot is unequal rights. There is obviously nothing 'equal' about the minority groups being guaranteed interviews when the majority are not!
