Bonnaroo is about 3 hours from my house, but I can't make it this year, there is another big festival in Las Vegas later in the year.

Latitude is a small(ish) 20,000 event in sunny Suffolk. 20 mins from my house so I thought I'd give it a look (again!)

Me neither. Too commercial. I just got Saturday tickets. I'll take the camper though. A few of their overpriced Ciders will no doubt slip down! LOL

Memphis is 200 miles from Nashville good three hour drive through beautiful country, there's a great aquarium in Chattanooga and Lynchburg, Tennesee is the home of the Jack Daniels distillery.
Tons of stuff to see around there caves, mountains and great rivers and waterfalls. How much time you gonna have?

Well the festival runs for 4 days, so going to have about 3 or 4 days before that I think...

I really fancy a road trip!! :-D I'll have a research tonight! Thanks :-)

Can I ask you for a little more advice please?

I'm debating whether I should hire a car or not....

Would there be buses that run from Music Row to Memphis and Lynchburg for instance?

I was definitely going to drive until I started reading the following on the Bonnarroo website...

"If You Are Driving
Patrons who plan to camp in the Accessible Camping Area should enter Bonnaroo from I-24.
- IMPORTANT: Use either Exit 111 or 112.
- Have your state-issued accessible parking license plate, hang-tag, or placard easily visible well before your exit so that the police will direct you to the best entrance.
- Those who are traveling westbound on I-24, from Chattanooga, should
use Exit 112, or if that exit is closed, use Exit 111.
- Those who are traveling eastbound on I-24, from Nashville, may use
Exit 111, or if that is closed, continue on to Exit 127, do a U-Turn, and
come back to Exit 112."

I don't understand what all that is :8:

Yeah we are, but we're going over there on the Sunday before, so we can have a little explore!

Thinking staying here http://www.loewshotels.com/en/Hotels/Vanderbilt-Hotel/Overview.aspx

Apparently it's a mile from music row...

I know there are buses that run from Nashville to the festival, so I might just hire the car for a couple of days beforehand :-)

That sounds like a plan, great hotel by the way. The shuttles to the festival probably have there on routes set up. But, taking a greyhound to Memphis wouldn't be my idea of fun. Just remember we drive on the right side of the road lol

haha luckily your roads are a lot wider over there!!

Thanks a lot for answering my questions :-) Will probably take a drive to Memphis then, but it's a bus/train to Jack Daniels!! :-P

Interesting trivia about the Jack Daniels Distillery, they can give you a drink, but they can't sell you one as Lynchburg is in a dry county

Yeah I heard about this yesterday!! I was a bit worried as my hairdresser was trying to tell me that it's illegal to consume alcohol in the whole of Tennessee!!

I was not amused.

Anyways, I aqa'd and it was all okaaaaaaaay.

So does that mean they don't have any bottles of JD for sale at the Distillery? Tis a shame :-(

No, they don't or can't sell it there, but the whole of Tennessee is not dry, especially not Nashville
