Excellent all of them, I wanted to enter this challenge but just could not come up with anything so :thumb: to all entrys.

It was a close one for me between Zap N MT, I went for Zap for the simple polished approach :-)

I will post a vote tommorrow night...downloading them all tonight for good listen then I'll decide but tbh doubt I will see beyond Zap on this one ahving heard him totally get into the groove of this one in jamroom but you never know.

Like Rob said congrats to those that posted. I mustered about a minute of thsi but could never quite polish it and end it for recording but great backer that i will continue to have a bash over and when i eventually get something it will be up here.

Man this is a tough one ain't it and everyone had something different to offer
1. Zappafan - My Burned Out Entry: Noodler of the noodlers thats gotta be the most distinguished noodle of them all

2. Master Tang - Karloff's Bandana: This is a beautiful production Jay that really shows how good you are at dual harmony stuff..bravo

3. Highway Star - Latino Farl: Farl if I wasn't listening to Carlo's I could have thought I was most impressive

4. BigDoug - Smooth(ish)BigD: Now I had to listen to this twice to see if I could find something to pick on and I couldn't this is awesome Big D

5. Visco - Latino_Jam_Visco: Yes my young guitar guru you are a talent that just keeps blooming

6. Stevedak - Stevedak_LatinGroove: Steve even after you probably didn't touch a guitar for a couple of months I wouldn't know the difference it was light and bouncy those fingers of yours know no boundaries

7. Zombo - Zombo's_Latin_Challenge: The tone was the best for me out of all these tracks John and you gave it a real push and had a great feel thru the whole track

So after carefull consideration to all these tracks which were just superb I'm voting for Neil who just noodled this so damm well and it was a really a tie with MT,Stevedak, and Zombo...congrats

Listening as I type this. Zap, very cool tone! Pretty much nailed 'ole Carlos there. And some Latinish note choices. Definitely did Mr. Santana justice here.

Farl, class bro! Very smooth all the way through. Really picked up on Santana here as well. Has that "Supernatural" vibe from Carlos' later recordings.

Big D', another great take. I like the vintage tone you got. As well as phrasing. Nicely done! I gotta go find some more of you stuuf bro!

Visco, nice harms, and tasty lines over that theme. Some nimble fingers in there too! You are a talent NO doubt.

SteveDak, you nailed the tone here as well, and added some fire in there. Loved this take! Had to rewind 1:05-1:30. That was highlight reel stuff.

Zombo, that was greasy smooth. Loved the phrasing you used, and some sweet little short bends that set it off. Beautifully played.

You guys all did this track absolute honor. And I'll be listening to all of these for quite some time:)

Well as I said last night i would find it difficult to see past Zap's entry and I was right. All the entries were really superb but what did it for me Zap caught Santana but without sounding too much like Smooth if you know what I mean. For me some of the others were spoiled slightly by those very fast repetitive lick which were awesome but for me did not capture the feel.

Well done everyone great to see Jay and Steve back and posting great stuff. Great to know you guys so can glean as much info to improve my own playing :thumb:
