So, after a very long preparation for everything, we finally got to release our CD, which was a huge success....

Sold 110 copies on the gig... which was the best gig we ever played aswell!!!

Lots of response on our bebo page and myspace... it was amazing!

Here is a little blog from out promotion company:

11.00 Darragh & Alex arrive on time for a change, quickly joined by Decipher, Neon Tetras and Frank of Innate fame who's on Sound Engineer duties as usual. The gear is set up and sound check gets under way as pleasentries are exchanged.

12.00 A quick break for lunch (and the hunt for lollipop supplies) is enjoyed/endured before Carlow natives (and super nice fellows) Mr Lightweight arrive.

1.00 Two young lads (whos names we didn't quite catch) arrive two hours early. That's commitment. Photographer and SuperKidds' good pal Mark Bennett arrives despite feeling under the weather and having a lot of work to do. That's mega commitment which calls into question the commitment of the two young lads. Perhaps next time they'll queue from the night before or something.

2.00 Everything is ready to go as the crowds begin to arrive where they're met with a free copy of Deciphers excellent E.P "Until It's You" and the now customary free lollipop. Fraction Kids make their entrance despite some Spinal Tap-esque directions from Darragh.

2.45 Neon Tetras open the show with a darn fine set including a suprise rendition of "Aeroplane" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and cement their status as a favourite of the Mullingar fans.

3.20 Mr Lightweight take the gig by storm upon their Mullingar debut. The crowd quickly take a shine to the lads and requests are made for them to return soon. They also happily supply those in attendance with their demo E.P which we think is mighty stuff, especially "Time is the Only Enemy" which has become a personal favourite of Alex. Several audience members are extra delighted at the acquisition of drumsticks which Mr Lightweight drummer Pat Byrne Pool lost during the excitement on stage. Finally in a scene reminiscent of the Beatles, bassist Spud Murphy is mobbed by some excited girlies in the crowd.

4.10 Fraction Kids take to the stage and almost instantly a guitar string breaks, fortunatley Stephen Claffey of Neon Tetras fame supplies a replacement and what follows can only be described as deadly. We here at SuperKidd really heart Fraction Kids(In a platonic way of course). A special thanks goes to Conor who name drops Mullingar and Seattle in the same sentence. Class act these fellows, who are gigging a lot at the moment so be sure to check them out.

5.00 The big moment finally arrives. The crowd goes wild as Decipher perform tracks from the E.P while also throwing in some classics. Even some dodgy shorts cannot dampen the crowds enthusiasm and drummer Finn is especially pleased to not spontaneously combust. Some moshing and crowd surfing ensues but it's all in good fun, good fun indeed!

6.15 The show ends and Decipher recieve a standing ovation from the adoring crowd. As the crowds disperse some random annoying drunk who wandered in from some gutter begins to act the tit. Despite several attempts to pacify and ignore he continues to insult until put in his place by Alex who "shows him what for". Despite this minor inconvienience all agree the gig was legendary and praise should go to all bands concerned.

And some pics aswell ofcourse!
