Nice work BG. Not familiar with the track so I guess it's an early ZZ one. Loved the tones on the guitars and the mix is pretty cool too.

The Chicken Ranch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_Ranch_(Texas)) is the reason for this song. It was also the subject of "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas". I played bass in that play almost 20 years ago. It seemed only fitting to cover this.

I could'nt find one with the snare rim hits right. So I rewrote it. I could not figure out how to flam beat 2 and 4 though. I also had to write a fill for the break before the first lead. Not sure if I got the fill right though but it's close.

This one has some tricky rhythm plus it's a hand stretching exercise and a half! Took me forever to figure how how to do that simple whammy thing. Duh!

Well... I thought I'd have a go. Not as polished as some er.... Six... (as usual! LOL ) And I've never really tried slide before but hell, there's a first time for everything. And once again, rushed and with headphones on my one good ear!! Ha ha!! But hey, I think it has a raw earthy vibe going on!

I may change the last section as yet but you know how it is, once it's done it tends to stay that way but, let me know what you think.

I was hoping to have a track done too, still having a crack at it but it's not sounding so good. Damn that Billy Gibbons and his pinch harmonics, I love them but just keep catching them wrong and have to redo it. I am now up to about take 93 !!!! Grrrrr !!!

You have to file down a quarter and us it as a pick to get the authentic Billy Gibbons sound. I don't know what you could use across the pond though. I pretty much gave up on it and did my own thing.

infact i seem to be spending the biggest majority of my time at the minutes embroiled in cypriot burocracy.

I'll let you choose Norman. I did better on the vocal for La Grange but I like Cheap sunglasses better. It's was more challenging to get the rhythms just right. La Grange though was tough to get the drums to sound just right. I spent a lot of time getting the snare rim part to sound right and I had to write the fill just before the first solo. I don't know. :wall:

I'd planned to do Brown Sugar as well as Jesus just left Chicago but I've run out of time, we're gigging 3 times this week so I'm learning 5 new songs for that - I've been up since 5am eating Strepsils with this bloody cold I picked up yesterday :( Just in time for a gig to 200 people this arvo.
