Well was fortunate to see Paul both days at the No25 ont he Saturaday and Sinatra's on Sunday. Both gigs were thoroughly enjoyable. Wish Neil had hung around on the Sunday asi thought it was just that wee bit more special. Apart from one goof by Scot on drums on Sunday the sound to me was just that bit better whereas when me and Rich walked in No25 we could hear he drums and bass but could barely hear Paul lead playing until we moved around closer to the band. Guess though always going to have these problems in these venues because of the weird shape of some pubs.
Anyway we got 2hours of explosive playing. The first tune on Sunday was called "soundcheck" to which a bloke next to me simply said "fnck" and went off to buy Paul's DVD....nuff said lol. Zander on bass and Scot on drums fitted in exceptionally well....hope to see both these guys playing again!!!
Paul sound I must say is greatly enhanced by the aquisition of his Cornford amps they have superb cleans and beautifully smooth overdrive and many a pro would be insanely jealous of the tone that Paul has got himself.
What more can i say well if you want to hear great classics the likes of Hendrix's Little Wing , Gary Moore Parisienne Walkways or Animals House of the Rising Sun but done better than the originalswith blistering solos then get along and see next time he is a town near you.

PS. I bought Paul's Tuition DVD which is a blinder. He explains loads of stuff like how he experimented with chords and how scales/chords work in various blues progressions. Also other techniques like slide and country picking are covered guaranteed to at least keep you entertained for several hours...not sure if there was money back guarantee on me improving
