Hi guys!

I'm gigging a lot these days and am wondering what's the best way to lock up my guitar bag/case.
I've seen others use combination padlocks (http://www.nothingbutpadlocks.com/index.php/products/view/small_combination_padlock) like this:

Can anyone help me here? What are the best ones to use? :)

I dont use locks on the case, if someone wants to take your guitar they will just take the case complete with guitar/lock anyway. Just make sure you never let them out of yours, or someone else trustworthy's, sight is the best thing

any decent case should have a built in lock but Zaps right keep it with you and get some insurance too if its a valuable guitar.

You could buy a realy big flight-case and lock your guitar in that. It's still possible to steal it but no so easy to just walk off with it.

do what government officials do with important documents in briefcases, handcuff the case to your wrist :-D

Zap's right. Don't take your eyes off it! (or them...) Have helpers with you and someone keeps and eye on the gear all the time. A locked case is as easy to carry off as an unlocked one and some scumbag will lift it if you dont keep an eye on it. They are easy to get rid of. Look at ebay and you'll often see an ad that says "case lock broken but the case is still OK" Hmmm...

Combo lock....forgot the combo myself on a 4 digit and just worked my way from 0001 to 9999 and got it open. So doesn't make it any more secure infact in a case easier to walk off with and break the lock later. Just be vigilant.

I never had this problem. Of course I could carry two guitars in a case and an amp and a bag of wires etc all at once. I even did all that with this old Accoustic cab with a head on it.

Sorry I can't help but locks only keep the honest people honest.
