You have to the end of the month. No deadline extensions for any reason! (Tough rules huh! LOL)
Play whatever you like over the BT but do not modify it! One and a half minutes only. Easy to play over so... loads of entries please. Send them all to me at farley@6stringheaven.com and I'll release them all at once with a poll!!
DO NOT POST ENTRIES IN THIS THREAD!!!!
Oh...BTW.... the winner will recieve a set of Gibson Pure Vintage Re-issue 9 to 42 strings! Wherever you come from with a nice little 6SH pick! :cool1: and if I win (fat chance....) I'm keeping them! LOL

Yea sounds a nice little BT I will give this one a whirl today while I got some me time :-)
Does it have to be pure improv, or can I compose something as long as I don't modify or punch-in on the recording?
i'll chuck a t-shirt in for the winner as well..

Farl, what is considered modifying the backing track? Speeding it up, slowing it down, changing pitch etc? Can we add additional instrumentation to what's already there by chance to further orchestrate it?

I just opened the email now & had a listen. I'm up for it. Is it ok to play rhythm over it as well and then add lead or should it simply be a solo?

Johny boy!! You can do whatever you like other than modifying the BT. Ryhm, lead riffs!! Go Crazy on it!! Just one thing though... your participatiopn is obligatory!! No procrastination!

I guess I can't sleep so I finished mine and sent it in. This is probably the most interesting one I've ever done. It's more of a collage than anything. You'll have to be the judge.

I am very close to having mine done Farl. I am debating if I should put the vox on as well. It seems boring without it untill you get to the really cool stuff in between the verses.
