i've finally got this woring and integrated into the site.
if anybody fancies playing dj let me know.

its pretty simple all you need for a minimum setup is winamp and the shoutcast dsp oh and some great music to play.

here is a setup guide for the radio player.

stage 1 you need winamp

when you have downloaded this, hit the ctrl+p keys to bring up the preferences.

you'll get this screen.

click dsp/effect and you will see the nullsoft shoutcast dsp.
i'll show what settings to put where now.

click the output tab, you'll see connection and yellowpages about 1/2 way down.
we'll do yellowpages first.
uncheck make this server public.
in description put what ever you want, its the name of your broadcast.
in url you must put www.6stringheaven.com (http://www.6stringheaven.com)
just leave everything else like the picture.

now for the connection tab

choosing the encoder
if like me you have crappy internet, you'll want a low bandwidth setting, my max is about 80kpbs, 22050 khz, stereo.
a max really is 128k 41000 stereo.

on the input tab, leave it as winamp unless you want to use your soundcard/mixer setup.

finally go back to the connection tab and hit connect.

queue some tracks up in winamp and hit play.
remember not to hog it and also remember to disconnect when you have finished incase somebody else wants a play.

for the password to be a dj either pm me or zappafan
